tFS Art Gallery #2 - Your Paintings, Sculptures, Drawings & Artwork

Another drawing I did for a friend who was absolutely in love with that outfit (worn by diane Kruger). I quite love what she was wearing that evening too.

I'm in a fine art school, I'm going to finish my first year in june.

conspiracy08, it's really good, I like it, thanks for posting !

Just been looking through this thread, really impressed with the talent! I'll share some of my stuff when I get round to scanning it!

Since I like photorealistic drawing most, I will only comment on GinAndTonic and MUX work. This is so amazing, how did you do that? I'm not into painting or drawing at all, could you give me an advise for a book that I can start with making sketches.

fallie, I love your picture, is this a oil painting, or did you make it via PC? Is this a portrait? Thanks for sharing your incredible work!

ok I figured out the description is below the picture

Karl - thanks , it's made with photoshop and grpahic tablet

Fallie> With a tablet? Karma to you. I've just recently started using a tablet and I guess I still need a lot of practise, looking at yours :D I love it

i would karma you fallie but i ran out of karmas to give! >_<

to karl, erm, haha, to be honest i have no idea how i ended up drawing the way i do. some people have it easier at capturing the likeliness of a person than others, even when the representation is not at all realistic or accurate. but you can always achieve a super realistic representation of someone by being very precise in the placement of their prominent features. to do that you have to train your eyes to calculate the space in between everything. personally, being super accurate isnt my priority. i think the rendering of shading and lines is what gives the drawing a "professional/practiced" look and the way you do your strokes give you character that differs you from other artists. now i feel more confident in shading/lines, i would strive for more accuracy. but it is one thing i tend to fall down on...probably because i suck at math, haha.

Thanks Karl ! Actually, I just draw what I see as it comes, and I try to enjoy myself while I'm drawing.

Here's another Kate drawing I did a looooong time ago on craft paper (it was made with pastel pencils)

thank you MUXU and evenstar , :)

GinAndTonic - i love the flash on kate's face , !!

that looks fabulous ginandtonic! i love the effect of the pastel and cardboard, it looks almost like computer drawing or a screen painting.

this one I did on last winters (superhero) trends: fur, thigh high boots and leather
