Thanksgiving Sale.

That's a beautiful jacket, Ionn!

Theory, thanks for the info, it's just like I thought.

Well, Theory, here is a reason for you to come downtown. Bagutta private unadvertised sale on Nov30-Dec1, 50-70% off, now that is a real deal, no BS. Moreover, if your wife is into fashion, it's the place to be.

Also, A started sale today 30-50% off. Just don't touch those CCP pants I want  :flower:

Hey MJ,

Don't bet on it... I was told about a week ago that they are going on sale for 40% off for Dior Homme items... and I went and checked it out at that time(ie one week before thanksgiving). They have so little stocks of Dior Homme stuff left it is ridiculous. What was left was all big sizes like 52 and 54... if that is your size then go for it!!!! But it didn't have that much left this year

I am tiny, so no those sizes won't work. Thanks so much for the info--now I won't go at all, DH was the only thing I was interested in there at all.

Love the coat you got--by any chance do you know if any jeans were on sale @ the 57th street store? Thanks!

edit--I can not spell or compose sentences before noon.

hi Faust... thanks.....I know it is a beautiful jacket.. but I am questioning myself have I gone to insanity  by paying $5000 for a jacket. Is it justified  anyway..... it is done!

So Bagutta is having an unadvertised sale on Nov 30th? So would we be able to pick up stuff now or we have to wait on Nov30 in order to get the 50%? BTW...I am a bit annoyed with Bagutta this time... they don't ship out the sales items

WTF is the deal with that? UGH.... nw I have to get my friend to pick it up since I am not in town...

BTW.. I do LUV those CCP pants... so beautifully done... I was so tempted to get it to, BUT when I touched it.. the roughness of the material turned me off completely. I don't like it when clothes are rough.. they are suppose to look good at the same time comfortable, at least for me!

yes they have like 6 pairs of jeans on sale. All different colors. Brown corduroy, blue dirty jeans, and 2 waxed jeans, black jeans. So RUN for it!!! :brows: I am sure they also have your sizes. My size was 31 and to my surprise that they still have mine

They just started the pre-sale about a week ago and when I picked up my jacket on Wednesday I also picked up this black waxed jeans(OMG it is like I have been looking for it forever.. ugh now I finally got it!).

BTW... if you are a Dior Homme Fan go to the Boutique now... they have more selection and better discount(I think 40% is really the max they will go) but now is a good time to pick up good pieces. They had Jackets, Shoes(boots and sneakers) and bags(although I am not too keen on it with the D monogram all over it, UGH), pants, suits, everything you can see on the floor is for sale at 40% off... I literally broke my bank account in there  :innocent: NO MORE SPENDING! :P

It was made out of wool with interior lining. There was also embroidery details both in the front(chest) and the back, as weel as around the arm. I think it is the embroidery that made it really expensive.. I did look into the detail of the embroidery basically it is a thin line of black string about 1/4 inches wide and machined stitched onto it to get a patter. If you look at the photo in more detail, you might just see that there were something going on in front, but you have to look very carefully to see it....

So I think that's what's made more expensive. but then.. those embroidery are not hand sewn but rather machined so I dont know why it is that expensive....

But yes.. my insanity overcome my logic power and I bought it!  :P

I only encountered one evil saleperson this year yea! I also learned that if I look older I get treated better even If Im not carrying a shopping bag...yet. Parking was hell, people are idiots parking on grass and the curve hoped the cheap bastard get towed for not wanting to pay for valet or wait a bit longer to find a space. Saks fifth avenue still had their sale going on after 11:00a.m., so much for waking up early. Saks actually has Polo by Ralph Lauren there which was a suprise because I didn't think they sold middle range clothing. Never shop with my mom during her time of the month because its utter hell. Yup valuable lesson I learned this year. Can't wait for after Christmas!

Thanks for the tip.

I guess I have to make a trip to Bagutta on Tuesday?
Looks like I need to scedule a dentists appt for lunchtime that day...... :innocent: :innocent:

I know, but that is exactly what attracts me to them. I think they would have this nice rigid sculptural effect on. I haven't tried them on yet, so I don't know.

Theory, too bad I'm off from work on Tue, otherwise we could meet. But I seriously think the trips is worth it (and take your wife!).

 The only reason it's that expensive is the Dior Homme label. It probably costs a very small fraction of that to make. But hey, if you can afford it...

It does look very nice.

LOL.. I got my friend to check it out for me at the Bagutta... they only thing that they are on sale is the shoes that is 70%. and not on all.. they segmented into 50, 60 and 70% depending on how 'old or long' they have the stuff.

What a bummer.. I was too excited to hear 50-70% off!

Got to think more carefully next time right?!

I do agree that the reason why it is so 'stupidly' expensive is because it is labelled 'Dior' and probably does only cost a very small fraction to make it...
