Who's excited for the Golden Globes tonight? Any predictions as to who will wear what, and who will win?

Watch the 2026 Golden Globes live:

Not me. Not a big celebrity fan.

This year Red Carpet was so boring. Shout out to all of men who really brought their A game. Most of them were just copying Adrien Brody (from all the red carpets last year) with the brooches, but boys from Heated Rivalry (Connor in Saint Laurent + Tiffany & Hudson in Giorgio Armani + Bvlgari) and Damson Idris looked great. As for the ladies Kirsten Dunst and Rose Byrne were great all the rest were WTF. J Law was catastrophe in Givenchy, J Lo said that she bought her dress and she was also very bad. The worst of them all was Chloe Zhao who didn’t know who dressed her and asked on the red carpet. It was Rochas and Bvlgari and for me that was the worst look of the night.

Highlight goss of the red carpet: Will Arnett came with CAROLYN MURPHY. They are dating for quite some time.

Emily Blunt, Carolyn Murphy, and Kirsten Dunst looked the best. Kate Hudson, Ana DeArmas, Elle Fanning, and George Clooney's wife also looked good.

Coleman Domingo looks fantastic in his Valentino suit, and the decorative silver...things...attached to it are a nice touch.

Timothee Chalamet in...Chrome Heats? Yeah, no. Also, who is that actress in that hideous brown dress w/ the silly ruffles everywhere?

I can't wait to watch it. I love Nikki Glaser!

You mean Parker Posey, White Lotus LORAZEPAAAM!!!

Sorry, but I live for Parker Posey. Hideous dress, but I love her.
Ayo Edebiri, Jenna Ortega, and Amanda Seyfreid were definitely my favorites. The girls looked beauuuutiful

I like Glen Powell's look. Something about it feels refreshing compared to the regular smedium suits and the dumb gay "relaxed formal" trend

So, wait...the 2 ladies who were sleeping with Michael B Jordan in "Sinners" both show up pregnant? LOL!

Anyways, they both look fantastic here. Congrats to them on a wonderful movie & their upcoming motherhood. (src: people.com)

This year's Golden Globes felt largely monotonous and uninspired - not only in terms of fashion, but overall. The red carpet was dominated by black, with some white, punctuated by more than a few WTF moments. Against that backdrop, the one look that truly stood out for me was Elle Fanning in Demna's lilac Gucci gown.

She revealed that she fell in love with the gown not only for its beauty, but for a thoughtful detail discovered upon closer inspection: the delicately embroidered flowers were inspired by a Norwegian flower - an intentional reference to Sentimental Value, the Norway-set film in which she stars and for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

What made this ensemble so striking was its effortless elegance. The dress moved with a soft, romantic flow, creating a dreamy effect with every step. The lilac hue complemented her complexion beautifully, while a radiant Cartier necklace complemented the floral embroidery without competing with it. The result was ethereal yet modern - never overdone, never theatrical.

Elle Fanning didn't simply wear a beautiful gown; she wore a piece imbued with intention. The look connected fashion to film, place, and narrative, proving that true red-carpet impact comes not just from looking good, but from dressing with purpose.

Well I didn’t like it. She pushes this “I’m a 15 year old” always. And she’s almost 30. I have sense you’re feeling like pedophile when you’re next to her. It creeps me out. Plus dress fit was somehow not wright for her. She looked huge. Those arms, she could wrestle The Rock. A huge miss for me from her side.

Crazy part is when I listen to designers how many hours went into making a dress. Gurl if dress is not good, it’s just not good even if the elfs made it.

I see it very differently. To me, Elle Fanning consistently dresses in a way that feels authentic to her - not infantilized, but romantic and refined. There's a difference between softness and youthfulness, and I think she embodies the former beautifully. She's almost 30, yes - but femininity, delicacy, or ethereal styling don't belong to a specific age bracket. Her red-carpet choices have always aligned with her personal style and have matured with her over time.

As for the gown, I thought the fit and silhouette worked well within the romantic vision of the look. Not every design is meant to be sharp or edgy; this one was about movement, craftsmanship, and mood.

Fashion is subjective, of course, and not every look will resonate with everyone - but I see this as another example of Elle wearing fashion with intention and confidence, rather than trying to be something she's not or looking uncomfortable in the process (unlike Jennifer Lawrence in that naked dress, if you will).

Ultimately, I completely agree regarding the amount of time (and effort) invested in making a gown. The best example of this from the red carpet is the video about the 400 hours it took to make Amanda Seyfried's custom Versace dress, which, in my opinion, ultimately turned out to be a complete miss.
