I thought that Joan had zero presence on the runway until VSFS, where she looked great. Not amazing in that powerful way, but in more of a confident, laid-back kind of way. She should try bringing some more personality to Milan and Paris IMO.

it's Joan's little stomp and bend runway pose that bothers me. She gets to the end and I am guessing tries to be fierce but ends up looking stupid. Jourdan Dunn used to do that bend thing when she turned too.

^^ I think that's it. Little short steps annoy me so. Maybe that's why I dislike Sessilee's walk too. I much prefer long strides....stealthy saunters if you may. Ajuma and Naomi for example have great walks

I don't understand how people can hate on Karlie's walk so much..

If you look at her current walk, she moves her body just like Naomi. Or at least just her legs.. And they both have piercing eyes, but piercing in a much different way. Naomi pierces with a sexy look and Karlie more of a seduction face.. I don't understand people..

I have thought for some time that Karlie was channelling Naomi Campbell in her walk and commented on it before. Recently I noticed that she also threw in some Angela Lindvall as well, and I guess the death stare was because that was the in thing at the time she debuted, I think that all that came together and made for some cuckoo walks down the runway - to me she looked like a little girl trying to be a sexy, bad-***, although that certainly did not stop her from getting bookings and my theory is that, among other things, as crazy as Karlie's walk looked in motion, the still photos of her in the designer's clothes looked good. I think that as she matured and became more experienced, her walk became either more Karlie (and less little girl play-acting) or started to align more with the characters that the designers wanted her to play.

I think Karlie has a very good walk, but sometimes it can be overtly pretentious. IDK if she knows this, but not every show is a Dior show!!!! She doesn't have to be so dramatic!!!

I think it's just a matter of taste j.cruz146, which it's totally understandable, i hate model bashing and comments like that, but i just don't like Karlie Kloss, i don't like her walk or her look, meanwhile other a lot people love her... I think that her personality has helped her in the industry, and also that her work is really overrated, specially by her crazy fans and the Fashion media.
Take VS Fashion Show as an example, she had probably the biggest recognition from the fans and the fashion media, but i think there were a lot of models that were that good or even better at the show, for example Joan Smalls, Toni Garrn or Ieva Laguna, and they didn't get as much as recognition as Karlie Had. Idk know it's just how i see things.

Joan Smalls walks like someone rushing to catch the bus. Her walk is horrid.

LOL! Her biggest problem is that she is quite bow-legged and her walk just looks strange no matter what. Kind of like she is double jointed at the knees or something

I love all of her walks, and I do agree, when her walk first came out it was a bit too much, but hey, that's HER walk, it made her stand out and had people talking, like we are now. She's a great model, and a great personality, her walk now is much more sultrier, versus 08/09 more HF.

R u talking about MY Karlie?!?! Cuz if u r, we gonna have to go somewhere, slather on some vaseline & have a mother-loving walk-off/dance-off type battle

But seriously, I know a LOT people have a problem with her walks but it's a signature.. Good or bad, it was what got her noticed before she took any of her fantastic pics It's one of the reasons why she keeps booking jobs season after season, whilst MOST of her contemporaries fell to the wayside

Tbh, unless it's a extraordinary walk (& I know I'm kinda a freak here) I kinda loooove it when a model has a quirky(Sasha P), different(Karlie), even a bad walk(Arizona/Lara).. Nowadays, a lot of shows have models with their nice/decent walks marching at the same pace, & it's generally just a endless parade of, well.. boring. It kinda gets my attention when I see different movements coming down the runway & I like debating if I like it or not. It took me 4yrs to decide if liked Karlie & I still question it

Plus, when the lights are down or wearing something obstructive on their heads, you ALWAYS know when it's Karlie's

I love Karlie but I'm always on the fence about her walk. I think it fits the more fun, over the top & tacky shows like VS, JPG, Galliano but in shows where most models tone it down and look very cold and elegant Karlie's walk annoys me to no end because it seems like she's trying to draw all attention to her.

Arizona is indisputably the worst walker in years. It's such a shame that her walk hasn't improved at all because I really love her in her print work

I love Karlie and her walk, glad she stop swinging arms so much BUT I will take that any day not to watch Arizona painfully walk down any runway. Doesn't seem she will improve and it is really difficult to watch her on the runway

Karlie will always remind me of a turtle. I like her a lot, she seems very sweet and she's fantastic in print and when it comes to posing backstage but I just don't like her on the runway. Like I said, she looks like a turtle, with her neck and everything, it's not attractive, it's not sexy or whatever it's supposed to be. It just looks weird.

Amen to that final phrase, i just don't get her success and how quickly she became one of the most demanded faces. Even though she annoys to death, i have to recognize that in print work she has surprised in a very good way several times.

I think the Best catwalkers are Mariacarla and Karlie. The worst, undoubtedly is Arizona, however, her walk looked flawless on Marc Jacobs FW 11.12 show
