The best walkers among the new girls, imo are Maria Borges, Agne Konciute and Vanessa. They're strong, convincing, and they adjust so well depending on the show.

Agree 100%, I also have to throw in Andie Arthur, she may not be brand new but that walk, especially at Versace Fall 2012 was fantastic.

I guess it's true but some of the other girls managed to work it to a certain extent, I think another thing is her expression on the catwalk, it kind of looks like she's smelling stank foot/cheese something and the annoyed squinty eyes and sloppy turns.

^the girl who opened and closed had a decent walk with that band I dont think it was the wraps fault she couldnt walk in it, unless she walks with her shoulders. Which in these two cases (celine and theory) she had her shoulders restrained maybe they help her balance

You guys seriously don't like marte mei's walk???! Im the biggest critic ever when it comes to walks, but im actually a fan of martes walk! I loved her walk in prada spring 2012 and every balenciaga show she has killed it on the runway. Marias borges walk is not so great imo. Neither is ashleigh good. Ashleigh looks so stiff on the runway

Maria Borges isn't fantastic but with legs and arms like that she just looks so poised and long that really helps. Marte seems kind of hunched over and uncomfortable. Ashleigh is NOT a good walker in the least.

One of the better walkers Spring 2012 -> now is Zuzanna Bijoch, her movements are quite fluid and cool, never forced and she never looks uncomfortable on the runway and she moves her arms really well. Her head is a bit tilted on the runway but I kind of like it, it adds to the nonchalantness of it all.

Oops how can I forget one of the best walks from an up and comer. Elena Bartels walk is just mesmerizing to me. I love how she nods her head up and down as she walks. I would book her for any runway show. Hopefully she will still be around by the time ive worked my way up to a casting director

OMG so true

I agree with intern22 re Marte's walk, somehow it really fits her, I also like the suck-it-b*tches-smirk accompanying the walk. The package works for me. And PREACH re Elena. Its beyond me why she isnt ripping more runways. Favourite recent walk however is Kristin Kragh Liljegren or however Im supposed to spell that. Amazing walk.

Agreed with Kirstin, she really has her walk on point, I was blown away when she opened Balenciaga last season, she was so confident and poised, she was one of the only four or so girls whose walk didn't make me want to gouge my eyes out.
