The Best & Worst Catwalkers

Damn Nadja was out for blood  I didn't know she was that good. And then Saskia and Karlie...Saskia is never good and Karlie walked out of pace (too slow).

I must say I absolutely LOVE Vivane Orth's walk, so much sass and energy in her hip and arms movements, she even brought it to a Jil Sander show, of course the music had a strong beat and so that probably helped, but I've never seen a walk that "fierce" at a Jil show before.

Definitely! Vlada at 5:33 was pretty great too.

I was watching Vietnam's Top Model (a Girls & Boys cycle) and the host is insistent that male models should never walk one leg in front of the other. I personally think it's such a narrow-minded viewpoint because usually when male models walk like that, I find their posture less "bros-on-the-street" and actually make the suit look way better. Case in point: Nicolas Ripoll who does the one feet in front of the other. What do you guys think?

Very narrow minded, i think it works fine and ive seen it done in a very masculine and confident way so that host needs to keep that opinion to themselves

Yes, I think it's totally fine for a male model to walk like that. When their feet are spread apart so much (duck feet), it looks so awkward:lol: Can't believe the host would say that! All runway walks are different, even for men!

Candice opening was pretty great, no? Cara just looks like a lost lamb. I was hoping Karlie would bring it but she pretty much just did her regular thing and it was quite boring. I need JPG Karlie.

Karlie OWNS.
What makes her walk different is she walks on the balls of her feet and each step is really elongated and exaggerated.
She also does the same thing with her arms where they're extended out and she incorporates a great rhythm into her upper body which just pulls the whole thing together nicely.
Like a panther hunting it's prey..

Yulia Kharlapanova, Natasha Poly and Kasia are great walkers too IMO.

I miss Yulia K. She was a phenomenal walker right off the bat and still is. I was watching the most recent Gucci and Versace the other day and if Yulia was cast, she'd wipe everyone off the floor (this includes the equally fierce Andrea, Sasha Luss, Vanessa Axante and Katya R.)

I think we need to discuss Cara at VS.

Not doing it for you? :D

Agreed. There are few who can work it the way Yulia does. She's basically saying "get out of my way" with her hips.
A few months ago I told her on instagram how good she is on the runway and she said "thank you" haha.
Such a groupie.....embarrassingly so.... :crush:

I've always thought Abbey Lee was great too. Am I alone on that one?
Good posture, shoulders back, little a*s wiggle....and she has that sense of urgency I like.
I just appreciate the walkers who look like they're working it.
Not a fan of those lazy ones who look like they'd rather be anywhere else in the world (ahem....*cough*...Ms Erichsen).

I was gonna say how terribly boring Ashleigh Good is on the runway but she totally SLAYED the miu miu spring 2014 show. She embodied the demon possessed zombie schoolgirl perfectly. That one show alone actually made me a fan of her
