You're probably biased cause I don't think Kasia's, Anna's or Magdalena's walk are so good at all. Kasia has a special technique, but Anna's and Magdalena's are pretty uncontroled and don't stand out in a good way IMHO.

daria is queen of the catwalk! no question about it. that was why she opened and closed pretty much any catwalk that she was a part of.......and then there was that record.

she is the smartest walker bc she puts the clothes first rather than herself. she understand clothes and she sells it on the catwalk. she makes the clothes look amazing.

girl like natasha has good walk but she is not a smart walker. her walk is like boom boom boom, its all about her rather than the clothes.

catwalking is a job of selling clothes rather than selling one model. so whoever makes the clothes look fantastic is a great catwalker.

I dare say Natasha is a bigger runway phenomenon in the last 10 years than Daria. In SS09 alone Natasha's opening ratio to the shows she done that season was 1:3. For every 3 shows she did, she opened 1. Who does that? Let us not forget she opened and closed shows even before the SS08 FW09 SS09 triad at the top and after that until now. Natasha wouldn't be 1st Place on the First Face Countdown for 3 consecutive times for nothing.

How many times has Daria topped the 1st face Countdown? Maybe she could have had more opening slots until now had she not been very selective so early on.

BTW Trentini at one point topped the list for 2 consecutive seasons

Let us talk about statistics here and not solely personal preference if we are to say who the Runway Queen is

Exactly! Had she done more full seasons maybe she could have had topped the list as many times but we'll never know cause she didn't.

Based on statistics alone Natasha had that monster trilogy of consecutive seasons. Which is bigger imo than whatever record a girl holds for most opening in a single season. That is not saying opening 12 (the most Poly has opened) is something to laugh at as well.

It's all cool I enjoy seeing Daria in the runway she has a nice walk and is definitely one of the best. Still Natasha does better runway wise based on figures and of course my personal opinion.


Moving on, I wish Andreea would polish her walk just a little bit. She's the most exciting to see in the runway out of the newbs nowadays.

I wouldn't pay so much attention to the First Face countdowns, since I see girls like Arizona and Jacquelyn Jablonski and many others with suspicious catwalks usually in every runway. It seems designers don't give much attention to how good a model is in the runway, like us.

im a big daria fan, but i have to say that giselle is the queen of the runway then daria. these 2 girls are the biggest stars on the runway. no other model can command the power these two get when they hit the run way.

^The only reason she is considered that by a lot of people, is from her Victoria Secret work, but If I'm honest I think Gisele's walk is sloppy, I always reference her walk at Dolce and Gabbana Fall Winter 2007 as possibly one of the worst I've ever seen, to the extent had she not looked down and carried on walking I wouldn't of been surprised if she didn't fall or trip... Her constant need to look down at the floor isn't even something I see new comers doing and the amount of times she does it is crazy, considering many consider her a 'supermodel' and one of the best catwalkers, I strongly disagree.

^ I consider Gisele a great catwalker but the looking down drives me nuts! I think that there was a lot of sloppiness in Dolce & Gabbana's Fall Winter 2007 show, my thought is that had they not cast such strong / experienced models, it would have been as bad as that Burberry show from a few seasons ago where numerous models stumbled, fell or had other problems. The collection itself was great and I like looking at still photos of the presentation, but the runway show was pretty mixed - I don't know if it was the floor, the shoes, the corsets or a combination, but many of the models were awkward and looked down, so Gisele, with her looking down self, was right at home in that show.
