8GreenEyes8 said:well what's not fake in this business, you know? I'm sure that all artists, especially new ones like The Killers, try to do things that are not necessarily true to themselves to fit in or be successful. Even the huge classics. Image is very important whether you admit it or not, and Brandon knows that. I don't know, I feel like they're being attacked for the sole reason that they are very successful and praised, and "mainstream". I guess I understand it but I think it's so stupid. I understand when people don't like The Killers for whatever reason, if they're not their style or something. But if you HATE them? I see nothing there is to hate about them, other than if you are instantly turned off of someone the moment they are popular. Sorry, I'm just very protective of them... I just truly don't understand when people don't like the Killers- it's such great music compared to the crap out there right now. But whatever, to each their own.

Details of The Killers' second album have emerged.
The hotly anticipated follow-up to 'Hot Fuss' is currently being recorded in London with producers Flood and Alan Moulder. The Las Vegas four-piece also recorded a few tracks in their hometown before jetting off to set up camp in England.
At the moment the following songs are in the running for the record:'Why Do I Keep Counting?', 'Bones', 'When You Were Young','Uncle Johnny Took Cocaine' and 'Sam's Town'.
Ever modest forntman Brandon Flowers said "this is the album. I feel totally empowered by singing it. There's a spiritual element to the music that wasn't there before."
The album is currently scheduled for release September 18.
