The MTV Curse: The Barkers call it quits

7 months after the 2nd kid is born? poor kids, like someone said. But then again, if they can´t get along it´s better that they get divorced instead of staying together "for the kids" and just ending up making them and themselves miserable.

^ Seems like it.

I really no longer have faith in celeb marriages... sadly, it seems like the only times they stay together is if they aren't actually married (Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, Goldie and Kurt, Brad and Angelina), which is a shame. They treat marriage like a death sentance.

Carmen Electra and Dave...Nick and Jessica...The Barkers...Seems having a TV show about how happily married you are is the new kiss of death. Next to, of course, having your partner's name tattooed on your body :innocent:

 Exactly!

If MTV offered me and my significant other a show, I would have to consider how much I really cared about him....because it would mean the end of it all eventually! I think it is hard enough of an adjustment being married for the first year as it is (especially married for the first year in Hollywood!) and throwing cameras into the mix is just an unnecessary evil.

Wow, really didn't think it was going to end that fast....

The curse is totally un true ... just look at Sharon and Ozzie ... and they're the original MTV reality show couple

Never would have guessed.

From the show, it looked like he had her up on a pedastool.

he probably did...but she probably cheated on him or did something just utterly stupid and now he wants out....has probably been putting up with stuff for a while.

Don't you have to at least be semi-lucid to want a divorce? I don't think Ozzie qualifies

Marriage is hard enough as it is... now try adding cameras in your face 24/7. You end up losing the uncensored feelings and the privacy, which is quite important in a relationship.

I honestly don't beleive that even the strongest of marriages wouldn't tremble a bit in the wake of a camera crew living their lives.

definitely! but i must say that any couple willing to subject their marriage to that kind of entertainment or put themselves in that situation should not have gotten married in the first place.
