The Mullet

Being a Teenager in Australia i can honestly say, around a year ago (Although you still get the odd 13-14 year old with one) The mullet was in. Every second girl here where i live would be sporting the mullet look, It wasnt the hardcore ones but you know , the whole thinnned out on the bottom and really spikey on top.But since then its grown out , Having really thin hair here is what most people are doing .... but the mullet has grown out now

I'm just amazed at how they can leave their hair like that throughout the entire day.

The other nightt me and a friend were sitting down in town having a coffeee and i swear some 17 year old good looking guyy walked past in his uniform and had a mullet and a half!!!! One of them old ones you'ld see on like 40 yeear old men, he wasnt even bad looking but ruined it with the mullet :innocent:

I'm embarassed to say this, but I love Bono's mullet! Anyone else with that hair would disgust me, but Bono with his leather pants tucked into heeled boots and his insane mullet at Live Aid just rocks.

There's a girl I know who sports a mullet... she's not a try hard hipster though... she's had it for YEARS.... she's not even indie wannabe, I think she just thinks its pretty.....

Yes, the mullet has made a comeback, but it's not as gaudy as the 70/80/90s mullet.

We now define it as a "fashion mullet". Although the look is getting popular, it's also fading as well. But honestly, I don't think it's a bad look.

^ OMG, hipster version of the mullet.... that's even CREEPIER.....

so unflattering....

I think the pics darkintragedy posted are a mix of emo haircut and mullet....

The 2nd cut in #30 ain't that bad, she can pull it off hey. Now abandon your black eyeliner.

I'm relieved I can now say I am absolutely not an owner of the mullet

There's some nerdy boy at our school who has a bit of a party going on on top of his head and that hair ends in a very ratty thin braid in his neck  He's not emo/indie/hipster. Just geeky. I shouldn't have brought this up, time to sleep. The sight of it is giving me the shivers.

Were i live the mullet was popular with "trendy" hairdressers about 4 yrs ago, and then it caught on mainstream like a year later .. its now overbaked and dead know. I think this trend is over here already.

Of course it's popular again. Business in the front, a party in the back, what more could you ask for?
I can't even say that with a straight face.

The fashion mullet deal isn't as bad. Post #30, girl 2 -> it works for her a bit. A friend had one about a year ago, and it looked really adorable when it started growing out at least.

thats the only time when a mullet is ok, nowadays... :p

it was really really big in australia maybe 1.5 - 2 years ago....every single guy had one.... nowadays i think anything goes... for guys anyway.

then new mullet is, i think, a nice version of the old horrid style....
i have a bit of a mullet cut right now.....everyone always thinks its by tigi.. hehe...

it has bit of japanese anime style.....but i guess it became overworn by the scenesters..
