One of those "trying to be impactful" shots. It's whatever.
 
Oh, I quite like this! Always good to see Viola. Perhaps it would've been a better cover if she framed her face, looked at the camera and they did a close-up, but then again this isn't a fashion magazine so we can let it slide.
 
She is, as the caption says, one of the greatest actors of her generation. That's partly why it's so frustrating that photographers rarely do anything interesting when shooting her. I suppose it's the same with some of her peers (Meryl, Denzel, etc.) and magazines are either too intimidated to try something really new or the actor is a big enough star that they call the shots and simply don't want to. I feel like I've seen this shot a million times, it's not bad it's just boring.
 
I love the mood of the shoot and how shes glowing as always but the expressions and poses are a little off. This needed something very calm and regal
