As we prepare to sweep away the grays of winter, our new Spring 2008 Design issue brings with it a kaleidoscope of color, from the rainbow sensibility of the rock star Lenny Kravitz (and his daughter, Zöe) to the trend palette of the color forecaster Li Edelkoort and the designer Philippe Starck cloaked in vibrant African fabrics and animated in video. If the eco-friendly work of the architect Enric Ruiz-Geli isn’t green enough for you, look at the Chiang Mai home of the artist Rirkrit Tiravanija, which incorporates elements of the lush Thailand jungle and refers to the work of Modernist masters like Le Corbusier and Rudolph Schindler — a design classic any way you color it.
