Not the pursosefully accidental kind a la Patti Smith or Frida Kahlo. I'm talking about the purposefully purposeful faux mo's which have been appearing on female upper lips more than I care to admit.

So, will these furry femme lips evolve into a fully wearable trend? stranger things have happened.

I hope i dont bump into a girl sporting this!!!
it would be insane,

welcome to tFS, luna. please remember to credit your pictures otherwise they will have to be removed, it's tFS policy.

we just started selling one at urban outfitters( so it seems its arrived) for the hipsters at least..haha

something I wouldn't be walking on the street with. I did a shoot with a friend wearing a 'stache last week.

I think this is quite a funny trend. Have seen it allready in nightlife sometimes and (young) girls wearing those on pictures, done with eyeliner.

the stache is getting ridiculous! i saw a girl yesterday who had her index finger tattooed with a mustache and it just looked ridiculous!

secondly i feel people who do it are trying too hard to be cool or different.

plus people look silly.

this is like that silly headband thing...
it's the same kind of crowd...
very young urban hipster monsters...

but i do find them entertaining..even if i find them silly...:p

thanks for the thread...
good trend-spotting!!!...

:flower:

One of the etsy sellers (maybe the same one as above) does a little felt moustache on a stick which I think is quite cute and would be fun for a party or something to just hold it up. But other than that, I agree with softie.

haha that felt beard actually worries me. I do quite like the idea of a moustache on a stick though, kind of like a twisted masquerade mask or pair of opera glasses. how quaint.

Really? I think it's only ok if the person has way too much sense of humor and needs an outlet for it and doesn't take herself seriously at all. But really this seems like it could never be anything more than a gag.

On the other hand, I used to draw that eyeliner mustache like the ones in the Vivienne Westwood pics when I was 12 y.o. and a mouse in Nutcracker. The girls who were soldiers got to draw mustaches so the mice did it too. We wore mouse heads anyway so no one ever saw them. It was just for fun. I think that was the only appropriate time in my life for such a "trend".
