The Worst Songs - Ever!

^ Agreed! It seems overly dramatic. Murderer?

hahaha amen to that

i actually hate anything fall out boy\american rejects\green day.... basically anyone who over does it with eyeliner and screaming with this whole punk attitude just loses me
backstreetboys, buncha whiney p*ssies
oh and aanything jessica simpson, she's just... weird :\

^ you're being too nice to jessica. she can't sing. she's a celebrity, not an artist.

I really cant stand Green Day, my brother (of 13) is playing it 24/7,very annoying........

That punk rocker song by Sandi Thom. I'd rather have my ears cut off by a psychopath in a suit singing and dancing to "Stuck in the Middle with You" (Steeler's Wheel) then listen to that again, sincerely.

Mediocre songs released by derivatives of derivatives are far worse than songs that simply "aren't good". At least obviously awful singles like "Popozao" and "My Humps" elcit some reaction. Watered down post-post-post-grunge and punk acts like Nickelback and Panic at the Disco! are far more infuriating because you're far more likely to encounter them in grocery stores and random public places. Although the undefinable "good taste" is best of all, I'd much rather hang out with someone who feels passionate about their unrepentantly awful taste than someone who is satisfied to listen to a fifth rate Coldplay ripoff because it's "alright".

I feel the same way about movies.

As a side note, calculated patriotic/message songs and humorless pop (ala Jessica Simpson) outweigh EVERYTHING on the terribleness scale.

That's "I wish I was a punkrocker", definitely!

Anything by Panic! At the Disco (it pains me even to have typed the exclamation mark). Their music reminds me of the teenage-emo-angst that they feel no one else understands but them. I'm just happy to know that their fanbase is made up of 12-year-old girls who enjoy Fall Out Boy and Green Day.

Same goes for Green Day. A Boulevard of Broken Dreams where "I walk a lonely road, a lonely road... I walk alone, I walk alone." You're in your thirties and you have wives and kids, already! How they won a Grammy, I have no idea...

And last, but not least. Natasha Betingfeld(sp?). She brings me back memories of me, not too long ago, when I was in elementary school and listened to "Hit Me Baby One More Time" constantly on the radio. Her own digitally enchanced background vocals give me the shivers. "I... I... I...." Didn't they stop doing that five years ago? I heard her next single is called "I want to have your babies," and I don't know what to say after reading "I was sick of empty music - people whip up a melody then any kind of words to fit. I'm not interested in lines that go 'blah blah blah.'"
Me neither, and that's why I don't listen to your music.

Ah, it's a great to vent.

Oh it hits every negative that I mentioned. Fortunately I don't think it's huge in the US yet. I've only heard it on youtube. It also reminds me of another category of songs I hate: forced nostalgia. It's even worse because it takes periods that probably were exciting (if not traumatic) to live through and stirs them into some kind of confused neo-conservative longing for simpler times.

what was the name of the group who came up with that heinousness "who let the dogs out?"

That is what I am trying to point out to my little brother the last few weeks. Greenday is just bad music!

Ugh. That Punk Rocker song. I mean, what? It remind me of ironic, in the sense that it's meant to be this big impressionist anthem that brings to light the problems of our materialistic society, but it's just crap. Crap crap crap. The lyrics are full of contradictions and errors and flat out bullsh*t. It's just... it's not a good song. The sooner people realise it, the better.

Any kind of pop/punk music with these people that just scream and throw their heads around.

  ... i remember that. frankly i'd rather listen to real dogs than actual people, trying to pass as musicians, bark. :yuk:

More stupid songs!

1.Smells like teen spirit (Nirvana)
2.Sunrise (Norah Jones)
3.Hero(Enrique Iglesias)
4.the whole thing about Avril Lavigne
5.Mexican Radio(wall of Voodoo)

*Now try to spend 2 hours listening to just one of those songs, and later on tell me what happened!!

Now I know that this is more than a year later...but I have to argue Nirvana. They definitely had better songs and we can agree to disagree but Nirvana does not belong anywhere in this thread in my opinion. (I couldn't live with myself if I ignored it) I'm with you on the rest. In addition:
Len-Steal My Sunshine
Those Smashmouth people --------->I'm getting angry remembering them
I know there are many others but all of a sudden I'm drawing a blank!
