Discovered at the age of 15 in her hometown in the Swedish countryside, Theres Alexandersson wasn't into the idea of modeling right away. But she changed her mind when a persistent top modeling scout finally convinced the six foot stunner to sign with IMG. Now 19 years old — and free of high school biology classes — Alexandersson is reaping the rewards of a coveted spring 2011 Calvin Klein runway exclusive. Alexandersson also walked in the spring 2011 D&G, Jil Sander, Chloé, and Alexander McQueen shows in Milan and Paris. She's featured in the current issues of Dazed & Confused, Harper's Bazaar, and German Vogue. Also keep an eye out for the upcoming issue of V magazine, in which the Swedish beauty appears, shot by the industry's hottest new photography duo Danielle Duella and Iango Henzi. Tell us a little about your childhood.
I had a pretty normal Swedish childhood. I grew up on the west coast of Sweden in a big house in the country with my mom, dad, and my older brother who's a year older than I am. We lived next to my grandparents and some of my other relatives. I played a lot of sports and I was an outdoor person. I still play a lot of sports, but I now live in the city with my mother.

How did you get discovered?
All my life people told me that I could be a model because of my long skinny legs. But I was never interested, until one day on vacation in New York a model scout approached me. I did some jobs in Sweden, but school and sports took most of my time so I stopped. When I finished school I decided to give it one more shot.

What other aspirations do you have outside of modeling?
Just to enjoy life! Travel, hang out with my friends, family, boyfriend, and snowboard.

Tell us something about modeling most people don't know.
It is hard, hard work!

If we looked in your purse, what would we find?
My wallet, lip gloss, a bottle of water, Orbit bubblemint chewing gum, and my iPhone. I actually don´t have a lot of stuff in my purse!

What's been playing in your iPod lately?
Robyn!

Where would you love to travel?
Curaçao would be nice. It seems to be a wonderful place. I also want to go snowboarding in the Alps.

What scares you?
The dark.

Favorite thing about being a model?
Traveling and meeting new people.

Worst thing about being a model?
Stressful! And you miss home a lot!
