Thom Browne's runway shows hold little relevance for my personal style.
I find the RTW cuts unappealing and the ubiquitous red, white, and blue trim quite distasteful. The garments don't work with other designers which stands in contrast to my dressing principles.
Thom Browne is a fascinating label. I recall its debut at Barneys, where it was met with tremendous buzz yet. I am pretty sure everything BNY ever had from TB made it to sale.... It was by the escalator for years so it was easy to see nothing moved. Most people including myself saw it as like an art install, not clothes to wear.
Browne has neither rectified the fit issues nor refined his approach. Instead opting to amplify the superfluous trims that have come to define the brand.
