Wheels & Doll Baby model to be a mum

WA glamour girl Tiah Eckhardt is best known as the face of Wheels & Doll Baby. But the in-demand model will soon face a different kind of baby.
The 23-year-old has announced she is pregnant with her first child.

Eckhardt has been dating American Patrick Delaney for nearly two years.

Having conquered the fashion capitals of the world, the Warnbro girl this week landed back in Perth, where she plans to settle down and put aside her high-flying model life for the time being.

``It's always great to be home and I'm very much looking forward to what lies ahead,'' she said.

``We're really excited about the baby, and it'll be great to take some time off work.''

But as these photographs reveal, there's little evidence the flame-haired beauty is four months into her pregnancy.

``No one seems to believe I'm pregnant because they ask where my tummy is and I don't have one,'' she said.

Eckhardt plans to have a break from modelling for the rest of 2009, but will continue to work for Wheels & Doll Baby in a writing role. She's also looking for a beach-side nest. Until she finds one, she's thrilled to be living back home with her loved ones.

``With my soon-to-be baby, we'll have four generations of women in the same house, which is amazing and something that is very special,'' she said.
