^ Yes, it looks more angular or less soft or something... And I always thought she had some major boobage, but she looks downright small there...

Eau de Tinsley Mortimer
  • By MARSHALL HEYMAN

At the FiFi Awards, you hear more variations on the word "olfactory" than you knew existed. Thursday's event, presented by the Fragrance Foundation, however, was strangely unscented. If it's not the best-smelling random award ceremony, though, it might be the most comfortable. The Downtown Armory was filled with ottomans and couches, separated by bars serving Grey Goose vodka drinks based on the five fragrances nominated for "Top Fragrance of the Year."
Tinsley Mortimer, the socialite, fashion designer and star of the reality show "High Society," was on hand to announce the winners for best Media Campaign. She has often talked about expanding her presence into the fashion and beauty spheres. After the presentation was over—Seduction in Black by Antonio Banderas, Halle by Halle Berry and Patrick Dempsey 2 each took home a FiFi—Ms. Mortimer, accompanied by her manager Jan Planit of Planit Management, Inc., took time to meet some of the industry's leaders in the hopes, perhaps, of educating herself on how she might break into the business.
First stop: Kate Green, the vice president of marketing at Givaudan, who immediately invited Ms. Mortimer to come into her office.
"You'll have to play with us!" Ms. Green said. "We'll do an olfactive profile and a kaleidoscoping session. It will take three to five hours, you'll smell this, you'll smell that, you'll tell us what associations you make, what sense memories come up."
"It sounds amazing," answered Ms. Mortimer, who was dressed in a short, orange Oscar de la Renta dress and tall Versace shoes. "Almost like therapy."
"We'll get the essence of Tinsley," Ms. Green explained. "We'll learn more about you and then the brand will emerge."
Ms. Mortimer and Ms. Green were asked what "high society" smells like. "It smells like bubbles," Ms. Green said. "Like Champagne."
"Pink Champagne," Ms. Mortimer explained.
Next stop: Nicholas Mirzayantz, the group president for fragrances at International Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. Ms. Mortimer told him a little bit about her background. "I had a reality show," she said, "and I figured this would be the next logical step."
A reporter asked Mr. Mirzayantz what Eau de Tinsley might smell like. "Very unique and memorable," Mr. Mizayntz said.
Wasn't every fragrance supposed to be unique and memorable, the reporter responded?
"It could be floral, like a narcissus. I would say it would be a combination of green and floral," Mr. Mizayantz answered. "She's like something unexpected."
Last stop: Théo E. Spilka, vice president of new business development and worldwide licensing at Firmenich, who said he had just finished a project with Mary J. Blige. "I could see your fragrance having a fashionably aspirational quality," he told Ms. Mortimer. "We try to connect people, bridge those gaps, introduce you to the right market."
"I want it to be in an accessible market," said Ms. Mortimer. "Maybe not a drugstore, but a Macy's. Fragrances are affordable to begin with."
When the bustle quieted for a moment and Mr. Spilka had moved on to the actress Sofia Vergara, Ms. Mortimer explained that she is not the best self-promoter. "It's good that I don't have to be pushy, otherwise I wouldn't do it," she said. "But I think we've made some major groundwork here. More than I expected."
A man came over and interrupted her self-reflection: "You shoes are divine," he told her.

No future for 'High Society'

Tinsley Mortimer's CW reality show, "High Society," has been canned after just one season, Page Six has learned. Sources say CW made the decision after Tinsley, her mother, Dale Mercer, and sister Dabney complained about the way they were portrayed -- especially over hysterical antics with Tinsley's arch-enemy Devorah Rose.

An insider said, "Tinsley was told she would have some editorial control, but she was horrified to find she had none and was being put in situations where people were manipulated to act in a certain way. She wasn't happy with the way it came out." Neither were viewers, with figures dropping below 1 million. Producers had lined up Courtenay Semel, Brittny Gastineau and Lady Victoria Hervey as possibles for a second season. A network rep said, "No decision has been made at this point." But Tinsley is said to be working on a proposal for a new reality show. Her rep didn't get back to us

Well what exactly did Tins, Erica Kane and Lizzie Grubman's roadkill expect?

^^ Very true...I'll miss it though- it was so bad it was fun... ;)

I watched her show once and was mortified by how terrible her boyfriend treated her and on top of that she doesn't appear to be very bright.
