I don't like the tee shirt out look, it just looks sloppy to me and I like to show off belts and detailing on my jeans.

With the shirt tucked in I look like an old alligator trapper from Florida (which I am, but that's beside the point. ;))

What do you all think about this dilemma?

No tucking in. If the shirt looks sloppy untucked, then its to big :innocent:

I don't like the shirt tucked in, But I guess it's because it looks stupid on me. On some it look great :woot:
I think the reeson for me beeing a bit aginst it is bacause of bad memories about men wearing tight pants with the shirt tucked in, and wearing socks in their sandals

I tend to leave t-shirts out, 'cause mine are short enough to still show off my belts.

the half tuck around the belt buckle looks current in my mind....you just sort of tuck it a little around the area you want attention to be drawn...

yeah that's what i was thinking...

slightly undone is subconsciously sexy...it brings to mind being un-dressed...which brings to mind sex...

very rock-star...

aaahhh...the psychology of style... ;) :innocent:

I just tuck the front part where the belt buckle is at, then I leave the back and a bit of each sides hanging... I only do that of course, when I leave my bf's house cause I wear his shirts... my shirts are too short to cause that dilemma...

I agree w/everyone! Better tucked just at the belt buckle or no tuck at all!

I tuck in the front, but never the back. Just habit and I feel more comfortable like that. If the shirt is long enough to do so anyway.

Thanks everyone, the tucking in the front is a good solution!

I love this place. :flower:

Do you guys mean tuck it in in the front, the way we did in the early 90s??

in the 90's, 80's, 70's 60's...as long as rock n roll's been around... :P :woot:

I agree with the half-tuck for guys, especially with a very proper shirt - it's uber hot. B)

I only like this look with a blazer or cardigan, something to hide the mounds of material that bunches up in the back. So many guys embrace the half tuck now and it can look very contrived.....but with a blazer and a nice belt and just enough material to show the belt buckle, but hang.....its a good look.....

on / off

the untucked dress shirt has been big & getting bigger-

I think I'll untuck for a while longer but then tuck by spring/summer '

I'm not really sure on how to pull off the tucked or even half-tucked look...when I do tucked it looks like I'm a member of those high-school AV clubs, and when I do half tucked it looks like I'm trying too hard  can someone please give me some pointers?

I like both, but now that I am thinking about it, I never really ever tucked my shirts in....

dress shirts

presumably you have dress shirts as I do
meaning there is a curved tail at the back and in front there are 2 longer sections, 1 by each trouser pockets on the left & right?
untucked means leaving all or part of these fitted tails OUTSIDE the pant.
for me its ALL about the FRONT untuck.
its getting a little too popular now but I will continue to untuck until may or june or so.
starting in june Im going back to fully tucked, and for fall 2005.
some people do a rear untuck but that to me is sloppy & silly.
if you have any more untuck questions fee free its another look ive been doing for along long time.
but its nice to TUCK lately [and next summer as I planned] just to confound the super trendies with their purposeful un-tuck.
