Tom Ford F/W 2025.26 by Mark Kean

I like it and his direction. It’s a bit more aspirational and elevated. Hope he gets his hand on everything. The base of tom ford is great, it just needs a different perspective (opticals, perfume and make included). This is a nice campaign. I just hate that hair. It’s too much with the make up.

I’m his biggest fan, but I’m quite disappointed by this campaign… especially I hate Julia shot with the red coat… it was one of the best looks and here it feels so bland… maybe because I can’t understand her appeal but it’s a sad no for me

I like it a lot! there’s a clinical vibe that one wouldn’t associate to Tom Ford who was always sultry and darkish but since this is under Haider, feels refreshing.
yes but its not far from some of his older gucci years ads like the kate marilyn monroe series inspired campaign

Disappointing. Didn’t even noticed the campaign when looking through the issue until reading this thread LOOOL

The weakest designs of the collection and the visual is too Anne Klein catalogue for my taste. And I abhor sunglasses in shoots. Eh.

It's not bad, mind you, but it's not Tom Ford. As for the fashion show, where's the disco? Where's the sequins? Where's the retro glamour? The '80s and '90s?

On Sora that coat was a whole different story.

They really wasted that coat. It was on of the very few garments that caught my attention when watching the show, it looked so rich. Here it looks dull and very department store, you could tell me it's from a random Ferragamo collection and I would believe. The bag makes it even worse.

It felt a bit tired at the end no?
I love Tom. I loved his POV and I think it only worked when it was done by him.

I’m glad the brand is moving forward.
Gone are the LA days.

But somehow, it still does feel very Tom Ford to me. His own brand was at times very serious too.

But it’s a good introduction campaign. I hope Haider get a bit loose and more and more comfortable with the sensuality of that universe. His own collections were very sensual too. But maybe because Tom Ford is such a suits, formal kind of brand, it will take time for him to really mash the whole thing together.

I would've preferred having Robin Galiegue shooting this collection. He has the cold glamour this collection needs, but with a dose of extra decadence. The campaigns under Hawkings were my favourite:

Robin’s S/S 2024 in Rio with the crashing waves, congested horizon, and a breaking dawn all stirred into a surreal, melancholic futuristic brew would have been a great vibe for Haider’s icy, moody, platinum androids. (Trash the dancing disco queens by the penthouse rooftop poolside party cliches please, and keep the soundtrack from his show. It’s not that hard.)

It's just criminal that Haider seems to have confused Tom Ford with Canada Goose for thisi campaign. Everything looks budget/midrange/outlet.

Are we supposed to know that the guy in the purple pants was a popular model from, literally, a quarter of a century ago?

It's his first...everything...with this brand, so I'm not expecting much wow-factor, and I can't be too critical of what I'm seeing thus far. But judging by this & the runway collection, I'd say he's off to a good start....better than everybody else's first shows and ad campaigns for their respective homes. I'm optimistic about how his Tom Ford progresses, moreso than Tom Ford's Tom Ford.
