Tom Ford F/W 2025.26 Paris

I think I finally figured out why I'm not sold on this collection, Haider's Tom Ford woman comes across as rigid and she’s no longer the life of the party, just dining and lounging before calling it a night. He does introduce a European sensibility that wasn't there, the collection is missing vibrancy and I don’t see how this will drive the growth they’ve projected for women’s RTW.

This Tom Ford debut will be remembered as one of the worst shows ever in terms of choreography and venue: the industrial austere gray location, terrible models spacing with models bumping into each other, the walking pace was also all over the Place, random nosense moments with some models posing while other holding arms together, then the choice to have models pass by though the camera to exit the runway...

The choreography was awkward but I like the icy-cold vibe of the venue and beauty looks. Haiders models come across like characters out of vampire movies such as The Hunger or Only Lovers Left Alive, and I mean that in the most positive way.

I can otherwise not dislike this collection as a person who loved a wearing Helmut Lang and Dior Homme by Hedi Slimane. I get a lot of those vibes from all the tailoring in this collection and the mostly dark color palette Haider has chosen.
