They have a nice shape however I am not to fond of the nose piece being so thick. It makes them look like ski sunglasses.

I like the ski look. I've been seriously considering getting these shades. I know I want something from Tom's sunglasses collection and these are the ones I'm responding to most. I think I'd need to try them on first though of course. I really like his shades though, good sunglasses are hard to come by.

last summer YSL had same /like the TFord/ shades in white and black. I have the black one - it a cross of aviator - ski type.

They are not as big as many other Tom Ford styles. But then again, i don't think too big frames are flattering on a man.

Do you think it's a bad idea to buy them now, considering that the season has almost ended? Will Tom Ford release a new eyewear collection soon?

I honesty wouldn't pay $490 for a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses. I own a pair but I found the quality to be not so great to be honest with you and I have been quite good with them. If you like the style though, yes of course. He prob. won't release new styles until next summer.

^^I sooooo agree about the price. He cant be serious charging $500 for those. My friend wants the Fondas. I think anytime is a good time to buy shades, regardless if its end of the season--if you can use them, thats all that matters. But I would say PASS on these. Marc Jacob makes hotter ones.

I have the Ford style in the 'nut brown' color. They look great, but they fall down my nose constantly. I think the bridge is too wide or something, which is a shame, but I still wear them occasionally. I disagree with Meg about the quality of the sunglasses - they were definitely up to my standards. All of my other sunglasses are Oliver Peoples, and I also have some Dita Berettas, which I actually bought to wear instead of the Tom Ford pair, and the quality seems about the same to me. I will agree that some of his sunglasses cost WAY too much. $500 is ridiculous for what is essentially just plastic.
