If you needed a new reason to stay the hell out of movie theatres, you just got a whopper of a deterrent: Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are looking to show off their creepy chemistry onscreen. The couch jumper and his brainwashed bride are reportedly looking for the right script to bring their PDA-loving ways to the pinnacle of all grandiose grossness: a Hollywood movie.
"Tom is looking for a movie that will make the most of their chemistry,” a source tells Life and Style Weekly. "He's devoting himself to putting together a project that will not only make Katie a bona fide star, but will put him back in the good graces of the movie-going public.”
But don’t expect Tom to cast the object of his wacky affection as the hot spy in the next Mission: Impossible. He’s apparently looking outside of his typical roles and trying to spring Katie from her goody-two-shoes image, which she earned after years of work as a dorky highschooler on Dawson’s Creek.
"This time, he's looking beyond the typical action roles,” the insider continues. “Katie is open to any project her fiancé puts forward but is desperate to lose the 'girl next door' image she gained from years starring as Joey in TV show Dawson’s Creek."
