Topshop S/S 2008 : Various Models by Emma Summerton

^ That's the first image

So I guess is no Roversi anymore?
I like them and it's great to see Iekeline in something. But how can you go from only girl eds in Vogue UK & Italia, working with Meisel and McDean, campaigns for Marc Jacobs and Sonia Reikiel to this? It's the wrong direction. Topshop ads shopuld be the beginning of your career.

I have to disagree. Perhaps this statement was true a couple of years ago but Topshop's status and popularity has really exploded since then (particularly thanks to the Kate Moss range). I think Topshop has left behind the days when they were just another UK chain store and I don't think Iekeliene is damaging her career in any way by doing these ads.

^^ Thanks OhJane! :flower:

I'm not saying its damaging for her career, but its just a career move that I did not expect.

H&M and Gap use a lot of very big models so why not Topshop? If they had Kate, they can have anyone

Umm, $$$? Topshop probably pays 5-10x more than say, Lanvin or Balenciaga..

Topshop is upping their game, first Roversi now Iekeliene. They don't want to be seen as just another shop on the high street.

I am a big fan of Iekeliene, and she has wowed me here easily. I love the calm feel of these ads.

Why? Gisele and Kate Moss advertised for Zara when they were at the height of their model career. The best models are consistently in their campaigns Look at H&M models, straight from Chloe and Daria modeling their winter collection.
High street campaigns for this famous brands are very high profile in any curriculum. I guess it's the other way around, unless you are really really good you can't get this particular jobs.

Topshop can get any model in the world, I guess they choose who best suits the look of the brand. She looks lovely.

Ah I loooooove Iekeliene ( still don't have a clue how to pronounce her name though :ninja:). she looks gorgeous and i totally agree with Les_Sucettes.

Ok, I changed my mind after this comment and other ones. I have to admit as someone from Holland I'm not that familiair with Topshop but I guess it is on the same level as H&M, Zara, Gap etc so it's good for Iekeline, I guess.

I'm glad they finally abandoned the multicolored studio backdrops.

It's still multi-girl, though. There's also Egle and Angelika(?), and I'd guess a couple of more girls still.
