I, too, will be spending next year in another country. I'll be in Argentina for my senior year of high school (not sure of the city yet). Does anyone have any advice about what I should expect, etc? I know that there are some people on the board from South America (I believe Nemova's from Brazil for example, etc), and I would really appreciate it if you guys could tell me a little bit about the country/people/food/life there and how it differs from the US.
The beef is supposedly amazing, meals and bedtimes are late, and teens tend to go clubbing on weekends. This is what I've been told so far. Is it accurate? Anything to add?
Oh, and fashion! How do most people dress? Someone told me that people tend to dress more formally there. Is this true? I'm a bit worried that my clothes won't be appropriate.
