Hahaha since i read the godfather, and saw the movies i want to go there so bad. i started to learn italian too (what a movie can bring to ones life :P)
i was thinking about doing two or three big cities and for the moment im leaning more towards the south (and palermo) like naples and rome.

I spend a lot of time in Italy and I lived in Palermo when I was 16 so I'd be glad to help! If you want to do 3 Southern cities and want Sicily to be included I'd say do Rome, Sorrento and Palermo. (I'd fly to Sicily from Rome though and start there first then go up it's easier). Palermo has a lot to see and it's one of my favorite places ever I miss it every single day but the one thing I don't like about it is that nothing is really "close" in my opinion like the sights are pretty spread out. Palermo's great but it's really more a residential city than a touristy city and it's like the 2 worlds never mix. When I first went there on vacation I saw few locals but when I lived there I saw only locals lol. The beaches are FANTASTIC but you have to take a bus or drive to them (depending on which one you go to it's like 15 minutes. Mondello is the most beautiful but it can get kind of crowded, Saint'Elia is more private). Palermo's like it's own little country and it's so incredibly different from the East coast of Sicily and that's what I love about it, it's crazy and exotic and weird and it's got such a strong spirit. For Sorrento I say that over Naples because it's a lot less hectic and it's safer too. I really liked Sorrento there isn't that much to see in the city itself but it's great for shopping, not far from Pompeii and a short boat ride to Capri which makes for a great day trip. Rome there's a ton to do! You really can't go wrong with all the big sights I've seen a lot of them a few times over and I never get bored. The nightlife's great too there's a lot of variety so you can find pretty much anything you like and there's a legendary pub crawl that's a lot of fun :P For amounts of time I'd say 2-3 days in Palermo, 2 days in Sorrento and 4 days in Rome. I think 4 days is actually the perfect amount of time for Rome. Hope that helps! If you need more specific info I'd be glad to give recommendations

oh my gosh! thank you so much!! :D :D
that does help, and now I'm sure I want to go to palermo. You make me dream of it! From your description I can totally understand why you miss it. (I'm actually getting mentally ready to love it and miss it too ^_^)

What do you mean by "go from rome to sicily and work my way up"? Like do rome then palermo and finish with sorrento?

I'll have to check the last one out on internet too.

I still have to figure out what there is and how much I'll have to spend, but I'll definately ask you more questions (if you don't mind ^_^).
Right now I was wondering, is there a lot of sights you need transportation to get there? And are they expensive? I was reading about the bus that goes from the airport to the city (in general) and they cost about 3to 12€ which is okay, but if I need to take the bus or metro all the time... :ninja:

For working your way up I mean fly into Rome but fly right to Palermo from there like just change planes and do Palermo first, then Sorrento then Rome. It's easier that way because then when you go to leave you're already in the city with the airport. For Rome and Sorrento you can walk anywhere that's what I do. Rome especially everything is at the most 20 minutes from something else. If you stay around Piazza Navona/Campo dei Fiori you're right in the center and all the sights are an easy walk
