Azzedine is everywhere in Milan!
The flou is the highlight of this collection. Looks 23 and 25 are fabulous! The last look is great too…
The rest is quite lackluster and looks sometimes off.
Their most solid effort so far!
They must have had quite the talking to from the suits because they have definitely toned down the hardiness in favour of a looser or more feminine silhouette. Along with the Alaïa, there's even a tinge of Theyskens in here when he came back in 2016 to his own label. Love the little peeks of fur details.
Still needs more work though. The leather pieces aren't always right and the dressmaking, flou and finishings need further refining. And get rid of those wholesale looking diamante details.
While it's their strongest and least pretentious collection to date, I still think it's too Berlin-ish in its core. There's also no joy and no excitement, even if the pieces try to be sensual. To me, they're just a poor fit for such a commercial brand.
