Can I ask why everyone seems to hate Matt? Hes such a sweet guy (Although I only watched episode 11 of season 4 )

I know! i love Matt, his character is brilliant. I wasn't quite sure about him when he first came on season 3 but, the more i watched ,the more i loved the Betty/Matt storyline. Hope he comes back soon, is not the same without him. The last episode was a bit boring to me, didn't like it much.

Just finished watching the latest episode, and obviously loved it. I could not stop laughing at Amanda in Wilhelmina's office.. hilarious.
Poor Hilda and Bobby, but pleased for Marc & Justin. Great episode, I was hooked!

Who wouldn't ? Sometimes I wish Marc weren't gay so that he & Betty would be together. They would make a cute couple.

Ugly Betty has been cancelled! This is apparently the last season and they cut the episode list from 22 to 20.

I'm so affected by this.. they could have gotten at least 2 more seasons. Everything was going so well! I am too attached to the characters. The entire cast is fantastic. It's the perfect mix of comedy, drama, fashion, and fun. I can't let it go! I hate ABC right now.

It had such potential, but potential does not success make, and so ABC has canceled Ugly Betty after four seasons. The network has also cut back this season's episode order from 22 hours to 20.

ABC boss Steve McPherson and Betty show runner Silvio Horta released a joint statement explaining the call: "We've mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty's final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell."

So how are the castmembers reacting to this announcement? Here's what we're hearing:
Original castmember Mark Indelicato released a statement about the cancellation, saying, "It has been an amazing four years. I've learned so much from the wonderful actors I have worked with, it's sad to see this come so unexpectedly, but I think that we all recognize the tremendous work that we have done, and am very grateful for that."
Guest star Ralph Macchio tweeted, "All should be proud of the run & gr8 work!"
Former castmember Chris Gorham, who played one-time Betty love interest Henry Grubstick, simply tweeted a sad face emoticon in reaction to the news.

OMG this sucks. The season has been so good so far. This was on EW.com -

This is about as ugly as it gets, folks.

ABC has just informed Ugly Betty producers that the show’s current fourth season will be its last. What’s more, the network has trimmed the show’s episode order from 22 to 20.

Although not a complete shock given the show’s heinous ratings, the news is nonetheless a total bummer — particularly in light of Betty’s creative resurgence this season.

The good news is that ABC has given Betty’s bosses enough time to craft a satisfying series finale. Exec producer Silvio Horta and ABC president Steve McPherson confirmed as much in this joint statement: “We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. But back to the bad news: Betty is about to hang up her poncho for good.

While I'm sad at least they can go out on their own terms and make it awesome (like Dollhouse). It would have sucked to just leave us all hanging.

My hope is that they will NOT make Daniel and Betty get togther. They would never work and are in a brother/sister zone. I want Daniel to end up with Amanda.

Most of you know I made my "Yay and Nay" reports each week. When this show moved to Fridays, then Wednesday... I knew this show was heading down the tubes. I only seen one or two seasons of "Ugly Betty." This is where I got to appreciate America Fererra, Ana Ortiz, and the dreamy (even speaking as a guy) Eric Mabius. Terrible shame for this wonderful show that merged comedy with drama with a kick of fashion. Terrible, terrible shame.

Signed.. i hope this works. I remember signing a petition for Cashmere Mafia and Lipstick Jungle when ABC canceled. Ugly Betty is such a huge show, it sucks that they are canceling. I mean tons of people watch it online.. can't they take that into consideration!?
