This is quite beautiful! I love the summer colors and that Versace collection has become such a staple this season, I absolutely love it.

Is this Alva’s first major cover? Always found her so stunning, and wondered for the longest time why her Versace gig didn’t do for her what it did for Precious… so lovely to see her here & I hope to see many more large opportunities in her career as time goes on. Also - CRAZY to think how large the age gap is between the average plus sized model vs. their counterparts. Had no idea she was 29 until now! Breaking barriers in several aspects, and rightfully so.

Why cant a plus size model just be on the cover without referring to their size?

It feels like this magazine has watched UK Vogue capture attention with its cover choices, and UK Elle has decided it wants a slice of that pie, so every cover will now have some sort of 'talking point'.

I mean, if you truly wanted to be at the forefront of normalising models of all sizes, Alva would be on that cover without size being referenced, and in clothes that actually fit her. But instead, UK Elle has chosen to put out an image that isn't as glorious as it could be, and no doubt we're supposed to debate how we feel about what we see, when styling her better would probably leave people with nothing more to say than "nice cover!!" which doesn't bring UK Elle the attention it needs.

Always wonderful to see actual fashion models on the cover of fashion magazines, so Alva is a welcomed choice on the cover of British Elle. It's a gorgeous cover, love the choice of Versace outfit and the juicy colours makes for a perfect cover during the summer months. Zero complaints!
