UK GQ February 2022 : Mohamed Salah by Fanny Latour-Lambert

Well, it’s certainly better than the Steph Curry cover American GQ got saddled with, but it seems #NewBritishGQ is actually just #SharedGlobalContentGQ.

With the soccer shoes hung like that, he looks like a power line impersonator.

I hate soccer, and thos t-shirts. But this looks good.

Better than US edition but still strange. Love the bnw though

Might he, by any chance, be sponsored by Adidas? I mean, I could be wrong. I could have formed a very misleading impression of his sponsors from these images. I could have to question my first, second and third impressions of these images. I might have to accept I was jumping to conclusions based on very little evidence.

He is and Adidas has just released his first signature boot collection. I really like Mo and I love the black and white picture.

I see no ‘Brand New GQ’ to be honest. It looks pretty much exactly the same, maybe a slight undercurrent of GQ Style but it’s hardly the dawn of a new era is it.

I hope the Latin American version won't have Messi on its cover. The guys is not photogenic at all. This player looks amazing, and I agree with @Xone, those legs are a fever dream. As I said above, soccer t-shirts are ugly as F. Wish it were more like the rugby players.

^ I think Messi would be an interesting choice given the fact that he looks nothing like your typical celebrity, his face is average and a bit strange but who knows maybe it'd work.

^ I have local campaigns he did for Stork Man (a shoes brand in Argentina), and he did better pictures wearing suits and having beard. His Dolce & Gabbana book was a disaster. He is so overexposed here that makes me cry. I know football fans and people here loves him, but I'm not into this sport and that level of exposition brings to my mind "Not him again!". I think the same about Cristiano Ronaldo though, his body may be hot, but it ruins his facial expressions. They're not male models, I know, but it makes me cringe when they're over posing or 100% stiff. I find more attractive and interesting other athletes from other sports. Some football players (not all of course) acts like teenagers, they only play videogames or football and nothing else. That sport is so overrated.

:woot::heart: this trio. Amazing eds, I don't find them boring at all as I expected. I was so wrong. It looks very L'Uomo from early 00s. Can't wait for having this, so much better than the music issue. I can see fashion here, this is what I want to see in men's magazines. They're wearing those clothes like a pro.
