UK Harper's Bazaar January 2017 : Nastya Sten by Agata Pospieszynska

Giving me that Alice vibe. Meh

I like Nastya, a lot actually, but oh wow. This is so grey and dull. All I'm thinking about is the poor fox who appears to be smothered (against it's will!) by that overwrought dress. And the owl (taxidermied?).

I'm assuming she'll get the newsstand cover as well. Wonder what brought this sudden shift to models on, but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Too gray and sad for my liking. I don't get the idea behind presenting this dress in this kind of muted fashion.

"It's the most wonderful time of the year"

Surprising since she looks miserable. Not exactly a remedy for the January blues, although the dress is very nice. The grey background looks amateur.

Yeah, that tagline is just dumb with such a dreary background, and empty looking set! But wow at featuring a model, and it's not Gigi, Kendall.etc Kudos for that!

I like the elements apart but put together, not at all... and that tagline is just too lame.
But I´m happy to see a model on the cover.

This cover shot makes it seem like the sleepiest time of the year - but I do like all the different textures.

That said, the lack of spacing between 'It's' and 'the' is driving me mad every time I look at it.

^^^ LOL Noticed that as well-- and it's all I can see of this cover now! It has to be intentional...

If the purpose is to convey a miserable and cold, overcast mid-winter day, then yay they’ve succeeded.

It’s a decent enough concept with the prettiest dress— just poorly executed.

And the tagline is too ingrained into Christmas-lore to be repurposed for the New Year. It all feels a month behind, like everything Bazaar touches these days. Maybe that’s intentional too...

First look on the newsstands cover:

This looks simply sublime, complete with the owl. Very Agata, actually. Just wished they would've styled Nastya a bit more mature, she looks so vulnerable and young here.

The newsstand cover is lovely. Just saw it on the stand, it looks so wintery. Definitely one of their best covers in a while.

The newsstand cover is beautiful ! There's a third cover with Joséphine Le Tutour, "Christmas & New Year Issue"

As a whole, that editorial is beautiful - but I hate the newsstand cover, it looks like a drippy girl who attends the same school as Harry Potter.

beautiful newsstand cover but never heard of her...

God I love Josephine, her ed is everything

Nastya looks good too and I'm happy that they are using models.
