January Vogue arrived earlier, am so glad at its punctuality because my subscription has really been terrible this year! Over the last four days they've sent me four months of back catalogue, which of course I've already frustratedly bought, minus december (weird???) because thats how long it took them to send me anything!
Hehe, sorry rant over!! Besides I can never stay cross at vogue for long.
Elise looks fanbloominbeautiful on the rather plain cover (which I quite like), quite Kate Moss I think with the messy hair and dark, catlike eyes.
Its quite interesting actually recieving the old issues now after Kate's whole terrible time, seeing how much they've used her and when. Shes back in this with a campaign for a jewellers I think, can't remember really (didn't think much of the shot at all). Speaking of campaigns, I hadn't seen the Gucci one in the first few pages before and feel its a bit of a rip-off of chloe's last set of ads.
They've got fashion's new faces and a nice little page on riccardo tisci, to be honest I only ever read the one or two articles in vogue but occasionally, like this issue's one on friends that dress alike and bay garnett's (i think?) one on the perfect bra, that I ever read.
They've credited a look wrong, on the spy page they have a small paragraph on the Versace look updated and used pictures supposedly from Louis Vuitton and Marios Schwab. But seeing as the latter is one of my favourites right now, I knew the collection off by heart and both pictures are actually Marios Schwab. Shoddy journalism!!
Editorial wise I was all smiles! A classic, nicely lit studio shoot has Elise in spring's whites and a very nicely, if a little usual, styled editorial.
Another vogue classic, the retro feel + women with a story shoot. Beautiful, just lovely, I love the slight tackiness of the hotel and wanna visit!
And then Carmen Kass, well she's just stunning!
