No print subscription copy yet, but the digital issue is showing 246 pages, but the actual page count is closer to 224 pages. Inside front cover ad is Dior. The Chanel ad where Lulu looks cut-and-pasted in front of the scenery is also here.
In those credit pages at the very front, there's a small colour shot of Bella taken from the cover story, which makes you imagine what if all the images had been in colour?
The Lennon Gallagher and Isobel Richmond story is near the front of the issue, she's doing all the work, then an accessories edit, a short interview with Rick Owens (feels like it could be a US Vogue reprint), the Robin Muir retro page looks at the work of Jenny Saville. There's a Jewellery & Watches special, with a shoot with Amar Akway and Jill Kortleve. (Even in Edward's time, UK Vogue never did jewellery well).
In the actual editorial section, it opens with the cover story, then SOME ENCHANTED EVENING, shot by Daniel Arnold, styled by Julia Sarr Jamois, which is people posing like it's nightlife in New York.
This is followed by a reprint from Vogue Italia May 2025 - POWER CUTS, shot by Vito Fernicola, styled by Robbie Spencer, with Loli Bahia, and it's about silhouettes, mixing styles, a little but of suiting, a little bit of athleisure. She wears the same Prada tights and belt in half the shots.
THE HEAT IS ON is shot by Oliver Hadlee, styled by Julia Sarr Jamois, and has Imaan Hammam and Vivienne Rohner wear summer clothes in a studio against a purple or white background.
There's also a sports interview with footballer Naomi Girma, and the back page is What Would Tina Knowles Do?
There's a lot of content for a summer issue. A June issue that's over 200 pages? We're lucky to see it these days.
Personally, I like the cover shoot but none of the other fashion editorials really grab me, so I'm left with an issue that I'll be keeping around for a while due to the Meisel shoot, but I'll eventually recycle because there's nothing that great on the rest of the pages, and it's taking up space where a 1992 US Vogue March or September issue could be stored.
