UK Vogue May 2025 : Billie Eilish by Johnny Dufort

This cover feels like it was thrown together without much thought. I've tried to find something to appreciate but I just can't get into it. I can't believe this is for Vogue

I wish that I could see this old VP that gives you this bite.
Of course not that good as Carine or Alt VP, hahaha. But just a tiny hint of one of Luna's covers came to my mind.

I won't talk about she deserves or not a cover in the UK because the "suddenly I'm a 60 year woman that love to play video games and now listen to Billie Eilish" police will come after me like always, hahaha.

Rancid. Nothing was ever going to compare to the hype of the June 2021 cover but the team here didn't even attempt to create something... decent. What an absolute eyesore. The styling is abysmal, and the photography from Johnny Dufort is hideous (unsurprisingly).

This is literally all I can think of when I look at the cover. Naturally, this random woman is more stylish.

This walk in the park should only be on Billie's Instagram, not in the pages of Vogue.
Boring 🥱

This is all what I can think of whenever I open this thread.

Terrible styling for a cover!

I wonder who’s her agent. I mean Kris Jenner work hard but obviously Billie’s agent work harder!!!

She's a great young musician with enormous success and following, which naturally leads to endorsement from the advertisers. It's very plain. And while her fashion may not appeal to everyone, it sets her apart - although one would argue she would generally be a more suitable fit for the brand of i-D, but currently the distinction between various fashion magazines barely exists so here we are.

I think those are horrid covers. Her McDean(?) cover from some years back was that much more interesting, if only based on the fact that she was styled so differently to her usual dressing - and I think that's what fashion magazines are for when it comes to celebrity.

I don’t dispute her success. But her style is not fashion and will never be, at least for me. Today everybody are fashion icons.

Colors are washed out.
Boring choice, also with much delay- the album dropped a while back. No sure why it's necessary to cover feature her at this time, with no new projects and the other already having done what it needed to do, market-wise.

But, good for her, I guess. It didn't eat the way they wanted it to though.

this isn’t it.
damn British Vogue keeps sinking.

I wonder how long Chioma’s contract is because… she needs to go. asap.

I think Chioma's cover pic choice is even more mind baffling than the early years of Samira's Bazaar.. the picture might work for the cover of magazine like The Fader tho..

Plus the styling is so 2017 - 2019.. even when Billie appeared on the cover of US Vogue last year, they tried to styled her differently with all the masculine suitings and present her in new way..
