UK Vogue May 2025 : Billie Eilish by Johnny Dufort

I got the LEG cover as my subscription copy, and the only thing mitigating my sense of dismay is that, at the same time, I also managed to open a misdelivered letter meant for some other house nearby, and now I'll have to deliver that under cover of darkness, because I've never got the impression the person living there is that friendly.

Maybe I could put this issue of Vogue through the letterbox at the same time, but that really would be adding insult to injury.

This look like the pictures you took with your iphone while you are with your friends, and I don't mean it in a good way

well.... I think he'd officialy OUT of CN

Reading through the issue this weekend, because I want it out of my life, there's an interview with broadcaster Mishal Husein, formerly with the BBC - if UK Vogue was UK Bazaar, this would probably be the cover story.

The monthly Now & Then feature with Robin Muir is about Paolo Roversi - its a nitpick to say this, but wouldn't it have made more sense to profile his work in the previous month's issue, when Paolo did the cover story?

Now that the Met Gala is over, the reprint of the US Vogue Black Dandy editorial seems more enjoyable, probably because you can now consider the ideas in the actual exhibition rather than on a circus of celebrity. The shot of Ayo Edebiri charms me every time I see it.

When a new issue of any edition of Vogue is about to come out, I'm always interested to see who'll be on the cover - the old habits never die - but with UK Vogue, that's now accompanied by a sense of dread.

Maybe it's just the general sag in content that comes with all summer issues, but this edition doesnt seem to be getting any better.

The June issue is due out on the 20th, so if they reveal the cover a week in advance, as they sometimes do, we might see it on Tuesday.
