I have long straight hair. I have ran out of ideas of how to style it during the day.

Any ideas please.

just put them up with a chopstick or pencils ;)

try little 'pigtails' that you can roll to small symetrical knots
at the top of your head

try the "frida khalo hairstyle"

Ohhh me likey. thanks nay-k.

I especially love the one with their hair down and braids on top, kind of like a headband.

While I realize that this topic has died long ago, I needed someone to post this photo. So, an elaborate, slightly over-the-top braided hairstyle. I spent most of my childhood drawing images similar to this... :innocent:

sorry if there's another thread about this...i couldn't find one...

anyways, i need a good up do for graduation. i'm probably going to get my hair cut soon, but it's long and layered a little on the sides. I need something simple that i can do, maybe a variation of a french twist? I have a really high and big forehead, so pulling my hair back has always been difficult. please help!

I think with complicated issues like that, maybe going to a hair salon for your prom could help?

^ I agree on the salon. Are you at all worried about your graduation cap with an updo?

How do I create this updo?

Get ready, this may very well be the only Jessica Simpson look I ever imitate. :p

Can any hair genius give instructions on how to recreate it? It seems to be mor complicated than just a teased bun with a strand or two of hair wrapped around it. I tried for over an hour and gave up. Is is possible she's got a separate hair attachment helping out?

Sadly its a hair piece, you can see the line where her natural hair is. If you wanted you could have a weave sewn in to make your hair thicker which may help.:flower:

It makes me feel better to know that it's a hair piece that's the issue, and not my inability to do up-dos!

This website has 10 or so hairdos. Go the Inspiration tab and select hairstyling: http://www.evitaperoni.com/

The "double comb" updos are simple but different looking.
