US Elle May 2025 : Addison Rae by Ellen von Unwerth

Everything in the first cover is working for me - from the choice of masthead and font colour to the styling. It’s kinda giving me Carine Roitfeld’s Vogue Paris in terms of concept and styling. Strongest cover of Elle in what feels like a VERY long time.

for me every Ellen von Unwerth cover is tragic - both here speak for themselves.
another playboy/FHM inspired cover. bring back Roberta Myers in the name of god

gorgeous, incredible, just give her the Best New Artist Grammy now!!

(it sort of feels like the push for her to be a legitimate pop star is a bit of magical thinking, does she have the talent to back it up? I don't know, but I'm rooting for her and I'm streaming the singles)

She might be talented but I will always see her as a girl doing cringe dance videos on tik tok. Her management is doing a great job though.

If she commits and has a great team behind her then she can be a legitimate pop girlie. May take a while but it seems fashion people love her, she’s in a lot of fashion gigs compared to other newer girls

Has the lack of talent ever truly stopped a "pop star"? I know poptimism is a thing these days, but come on.

Some say she's an industry plant, but idc, I love everything she's been doing lately.

I can’t think of a solo female pop star that really made it big that didn’t have talent. I guess Addison is a talented dancer, I don’t think she is a talented vocalist or songwriter but if the gays push her hard enough, she can break through to stardom.

I can't believe this is the same Ellen von Unwerth that created the iconic Guess campaigns in the 90s. How sad.

Oh, she's serving. I'm not particullary attracted to her as a "pop star" but I enjoy seeing her in magazines and she looks extremely sexy here, like someone pointed is very Vogue Paris under Carine. I don't care if they are forcing us to see her as the next big thing, at least is not Dula Peep.
