US Elle November 2013 : Reese Witherspoon by Thomas Whiteside

totally reminds me of what harper's bazaar did to gabourey sidibe...
just because you are a plus size woman does not mean cover you up in shapeless coat or poncho...:judge:

reese + joe zee is always a match made in heaven...

You are right about that, I also thought about Gabourey's cover when I saw Melissa's. Also thought about Adele's covers and all the close up that she's gotten. I feel like by giving Melissa a cover they are trying be body positive (or at least look it) but it doesn't really mean anything if we can't see her lovely curves. She's a stunning women and it's a shame that they covered her up. Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if all the women were wearing jackets like this, then it would be seen as an style decision but half of them are looking quite sexy, so Melissa's cover is disappointing.

Oh my... Love Penelope's cover, and Marion looks stunning as usual.

I'm with all of you in regard to melissa's cover. I feel like hers should be the best cover, and they had the potential to develop it yet they came up with this.
The rest of the covers look like typical Elle US, I'm sick of the red masthead against a white background. Not even the lack of text makes it appealing.

I love that they didn't overphotoshop Penélope's face; you can actually see some lines on her forehead. I thought it was sacrilegious for fashion magazines to do that.

These are great covers.
Reese's cover is quite chic.
Nancy and Eva Marie look fab.
Can't wait to read what they say.
Someone each year gives some insider goss.

Penelope's cover is my favorite! I also like Marion's! And happy to see Melissa on the cover, although they could have done a better one for her.

Hollywood Land is a beautifully styled and shot spread, but would have been better with a model who didn't look 15 and totally ruins it.

The main cover is pretty nice, but it's boring since it's Reese. I never got her appeal.
Seeing the cover with Penelope makes me wonder why wasn't the same amount of texts used with Gaga?

Stunning editorials, I like Sienna's very much.

Scrap Shailene out and it'd have been a perfect crop of great actress. Melissa looks amazing.
