Quite disagree. I like "menly" portraits a lot. It's an aesthetic like any other. I don't see violence or straight up homophobia or hate on woman. There were hundreds of offensive shots in fashion history, but this is far from that. And it's rare to see men being sexy on GQ, comparing with the mess from last months. I agree we should be more open about aesthetic for men and women, but I see with bad eyes pointing masculinity and femininity as something terrible (without any offensive subtext, I mean girls arround in bikini or the wife of the year, for example). I like portraits of strong men as soft ones too and same case with delicate women as hard. This editorial has the combo, I see a men posing rough but also I spot sensitivity, emotion, in the expression and the clothes.Meh, I don’t like this. Toxic masculinity not allowing them to keep it playful and Barbie-ish. Let's portray a dirty, strong and straight man figure instead. Next, please.
Why did they make him the same color as Donald Trump?
I’m kind of sad they didn’t lean more into the Ken vibe.
He’s Bruno Gehard’s butch bro. It’s a tad camp.
This makes me think of Chuck Norris…
These would have been better options for the cover though.
It's a boring cover, boring and uninspired styling on the cover. Some shots in the edit are good but it doesn't sell me a complete story.
They had that ONE CHANCE to make a campy / fun / Ken-ish coverstory and they blew it.
A pink coat doesn't do it y'all.
