US Harper's Bazaar September 2010 : Jennifer Aniston by Mark Seliger

Here's a somewhat scathing article of Jen's interview. CLICK HERE

It's always funny to me that people claim Jennifer Aniston is talentless... how? Didn't she win an emmy and a couple of golden globes for her role as Rachel Green. Surely that must mean she can act... and received great reviews for Marley&Me, Break up, His just not into you, good girl etc...

Also, her films are box office bombs is purely ridiculous.... she is one of the few actresses that can make a movie turn into profits. Her last movie (bounty hunter) cost $40 million to make and made #136 million at the box office... more than 3X the cost for columbia pictures. This is also a film that was panned universally by critics...

I really like both covers. The Newsstand doesn`t have this fake smile unlike Gwyneth`s. Bombarded with text but still looks pretty.

The subscriber`s cover is lovely. Distracting nose but you can sense the originality of the image because they didn`t photoshop it entirely.

Blah first cover... I like the second one much better.... its more original.

the stats i saw on the bounty hunter said it made $67 million in the U.S., which isn't much of a profit...

in her highest grossing movies, one was an ensemble cast and based on a very successful book, another was also based on a very successful book, and the other two starred two very popular comedic actors (vince vaughn and jim carrey)...she can't "carry" a picture...

my main problem with this issue is that it's gimmicky...
if you're going to feature her, don't make her portray someone else...
have her in great fashion in a beautiful editorial...

I think this is her comeback year. Her new movie looks fantastic and I'm not even a fan of her.

How can she have a comeback year when she never really went away though?

I'm not sure you can really call it a come back for her? She never went anywhere, and it's not even like she went 'quiet' for anytime.

I keep looking at the newstand shot again, and when you see the image without all of the text on it, it does look like a really great image of her. Shame is just drowns and dies in a sea of text on the actual cover.

My gosh does Jen deserve so many negative comments? Either way, I love the cover and editorial.

I wish people would stop hating on Jennifer so much. It's always the same, when I read her name on a thread, I just know that everyone is going to hate.
She's beautiful, talented and clearly sells very well otherwise she wouldn't be on the cover so much. Her new movie is coming out soon and the launch of her fragrance so it's not that surprising to see her on the cover.
And it's not that I'm a massive Jennifer fan or anything, she's nice but nothing more than that. It just annoys me to see her getting so much hate for nothing. It's not her fault every magazine wants her on the cover, is it?

Personally, I absolutely have no clue as to why Jennifer's considered talentless as an actress, but in my modest opinion, she does not have any relevance as a fashion personality. I'm not blaming her for being "the usual suspect", but I can't help feeling bitter about magazines such as US Vogue or US Bazaar featuring seller celebrities who have something coming up, instead of picking less exposed ones, yet gifted with a certain sense of fashion.

As for the covers in themselves, as per usual I'm appaled by the huge amount of text splashed over the newsstands' cover. The suscribers' is way easier on the eye.

the most iteresting photoshoot jennifer has ever ever done! Those pics are amazing!

I'm not a fan of this woman at all but I think she does make a good Barbra Streisand here. Love the subscriber's cover.

Can't wait for the review!

A million blowflies dig crap, too, but it's still crap.

There is nothing wrong about the cover, but there is nothing good too..

If that $40 mil doesn't include advertising makes no sense to refer to it. Advertising probably cost just as much...

Well, I think that a lot of people hate her because she is such a "good girl"... Sorry, but I don´t see anything interesting on her style, on her talent or on her movie roles. She is borring... And I also hate her because she really enjoy the fact that journalists adjudged her the "poor girl" role...

Anyone else think she looks like an Olsen twin on the newsstand cover?
