Hayek Pinault looks beautiful in every photograph. The hair, makeup, and styling suit her so well. I love the colors and mood. It is hard to pick a favorite photo but the one of Hayek in leopard is striking. Gray and the team did a successful job.

I hate that I agree with you. I would say it's because she's so petite at 5'2", but magazines manage to make Kylie Minogue work and she's 2 inches shorter. It may be the extreme hourglass is not going to lend itself to fashion shots. Perhaps if it was a bunch of tailored suits. Except for the leopard shot, everything else reads as a very high-end catalog model. Strange, because she is very beautiful and photogenic...and has connections and resources...so I have to assume this is what she wanted.

The thing about Kylie is that she does so many things that are without legs; body suits galore. So this helps with length and she understands dimension through choreography as well. Some girls are just better at photographing taller. I think Kylie is also more narrow bodied than Salma who is best known for her curves.

Salma needs to know her body, especially- as you've highlighted; the resources she has at her fingertips. As far as it reading as high-end catalog- I wouldn't go that far. The seated white blazer looking is giving parent teacher conference.

Beautiful girl, but this would have been more effective if it was done as a beauty and accessories look. But even then; the cat eye (which is a tried and true element) even feels irrelevant. I think it was poorly lit being shot in studio and against black. All of it is a disservice. To my original point, An actress- yes, iconic. A fashion girl? No.

Not sure anything will ever compare to Salma Hayek on Vogue Arabia but I don't hate this. I'm a fan of the dark background and the beauty styling. Salma looks undeniably beautiful here, I love that shot of Hayek in the mustard dress.

Not really exciting, to be true. Photoshop overload... and that's a pity because I saw some recent pictures where she wasn't (that much, at least) retouched and she looks great the way she is. Nothing screams "fashion" here, also. Nother even whispers "fashion" honestly, even less "fearless".

I guess it doesn't go without some kind of bland interview where she'll talk about Pineault and their life together and bla, bla, bla. Not interesting as I only care about her as an actress.
