This cover is a thousand times better than Drew's recent Harper's Bazaar cover, so much more natural and effortless! I'm not sure about the busy outfit choice, mixed with the pose and Drew's arm placement. But from the neck up, it's 10/10!

It feels refreshing. Same old same old, but there's something new to it. I really like this. However, the new size is debatable.

I'm tired of American female celebrities on fashion magazines. I know it's due to sales but I could go a year w/out seeing the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Drew, Reese, Gwyneth, Kate Hudson, etc.

Βetter than unknown, barely legal teens whose images should come with a trigger warning.

Or take a chance on newer or upcoming actresses like Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Margot Robbie, Saoirse Ronan, Gina Rodriguez or Tessa Thompson.

Just a thought.

I used to dislike seeing these actresses on covers all the time, but now that I'm older (and not getting any younger) I appreciate it - models are mostly teenagers and college-aged, and while female musicians are often a bit older they are still mostly very young. It's like the only women in the media who are aged 30 and up are actresses.

Apparently these actresses sell well. Would magazines sell more if the models were of a similar age of Drew, Cameron, Gwyneth? Could the fashion industry cultivate this appreciation of age, where these older models front the covers of magazines?

(Another thought: the ideal body today is no longer pin-thin, but a fit and sculpted body. You just don't see these bodies with the young models, but you do with the 25-and-older models.)

Yes to all of this! I really, really want to see Gugu or Tessa on a major cover. Saoirse as well, although she already gets some print work in the likes of Interview and W.

Talking about this cover, it´s alright I guess. Nothing really special. And I actually like Drew a bit, prefer her compared to all the other usuals (Jennifer, Kate, Cameron, Gwyneth etc.).

It's very safe cover image but much better than her last cover for harper's Baazar.

It's also like the same only dozen or so women getting these covers. Are people really THAT interested in seeing and reading about them all the time? What could we possibly learn about them this time that we hadn't in the 7 other stories this year, or in the 9 stories the year before? And it's not like the photography is that much different one from another. I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm genuinely curious.

Oh I understand completely! They can only have so much to say. After a 2/3 year break I'm inclined to hear what they've been up to. But within a span of one month??? Vogue sinked to an embarrassing new low with Rihanna's April covers. I think most regular readers probably tire of these women as well. Imagine if the Harper's reader is also a MC reader? That's a double dose of Drew, back to back. And yes, they perform well on newsstands, but not for all the titles they cover.

About the actual cover, it's another winner for Marie Claire. Everything works really well here. A bit weird to see Drew's wedding band manouvered onto this shot.
