It looks so heavily Photoshopped to create a lighting effect that was quite there in person, makes her face look quite odd? That being said it's definitely one of the best covers in a long time. I like the compisition and pose.

Seriously! I saw this on IG through my phone, and liked it, but seeing it on my computer screen, wow, it looks like they put her face from a different shot on this photo, and its just odd. She got even a worse, and more obvious, photoshop than Sienna by Wintour!!!

Oh that hat. Oh no. Way too Richie Sambora circa 1987 for me.

I miss Cameron Diaz on magazine covers.

Too bad about the PS around her face but I like the styling and the previews :)

This is an abomination. Is there literally a team of editors and creatives somewhere in the world that thought this looked Ok? Especially when everyone else is trying to step up their game for September? I mean.... just really. So washed out, so photoshopped, such try-hard styling, so much text overload.

I bet they're congratulating themselves on not photoshopping out her freckles, too. lmao

I think Marie Claire have stepped up their game, it's the extremely ugly dior ensemble that's letting this cover down.

I don't hate it, I just don't believe this particular shot of Emma Stone works for a September cover. It's far too underwhelming and the overbearing Christian Dior hat ruins the whole image. Marie Claire would've been bold to have used the black and white image in #2 as the cover, and when teamed with the red fonts would've made for an impactful September cover.

I quite like it actually, for March not September! And without that hideous Dior hat. Personally I find this to be yet another step forward for US Marie Claire. It's not a studio portrait shot from the bust up, and the styling (except the hat) actually looks very muted.

Also, this is actually Emma's first US Marie Claire cover. Took them long enough...

Very weird - everything is photoshopped and disjointed to the point where it looks like they didn't actually shoot Emma and just used reprints. Very disappointing for a September cover with an Oscar winner.

Only dawned upon me now! This is her first post-Oscar cover. Weird choice, considering she booked the top tier titles before winning.
