I also like Linda's set the most. It's actually a very whimsical take on China. Surprised to see that the shot of her in the dumpling shop features a Vogue Pattern look. Was this normal for the magazine to showcase DIY looks? It's all very charming, nonetheless.

Gorgeous issue. Such a lightness of being that runs throughout every story. Just supremely beautiful: Annie’s portrait of Hillary is radiant-- and I still can’t forgive Fate that she will not be POTUS; Arthur’s story of China with Linda is charmingly portrayed and sublimely captured; Steven’s 2 stories really showcased how he sets the mood and tone of fashion and still remain ahead of everyone else; and Ellen’s story with Sharon is so delicate and still so highly sexual. I guess Anna didn’t like it so thus had Herb shoot the covershot instead. Herb’s is… nice enough. It’s very unmistakably American Vogue and typically Hollywood, but Ellen’s alluring tone was a side of Sharon that’s rather unique and unlike the public’s perception of her.

I have never seen that editorial with Linda before. I like the fact that they have shown different side of her. She looks radiant and genuinely happy. It is a pity that they rarely produce stories abroad.
I can't help but laugh at anyone who thought it was a good idea to put Gainsbourg next so such gorgeous models. She sticks out like a sore thumb.

Well— Charlotte’s aged much better into her looks than she looked in her youth: Young Charlotte here already has the face of a middle-age woman LOL And here at least, she has the good fortune of being shot by Meisel and styled by Camilla. Imagine had lessers but overhyped types of this era shot and styled this… Dear god— all of Charlotte’s weaknesses would be magnified from an absolute lack of technical and creative skills. But they’d likely claim some gimmick as “the real Charlotte, flaws and all— shot from a female’s gaze” etc etc.

(And yes-- always preferred happy, beaming so fresh, so clean Linda over diva Linda.)
