Stunning shot. Far above everything single other editorial shot in the entire issue!
It's a lovely shot - what I'm struck by is how the man, shot back in 1955, looks as if he could be straight out of a magazine today. But the woman is so specifically 50's...she looks like a creature long lost to history.

The 1950's are nice and lovely and all, but it's really not my favorite decade. I'm much more a fan of the late 30's/early 40's...more dramatic, severe and chic.

^^^ I’d imagine it would look like “Take A Bow"… I just want to see more of the toredor.

Thought the same seeing him. He’s something… like a young Cameron Alborzian.

The 1950s— in particular 1950s America, always seems like this surreal illusion that only existed in Hollywood films, paintings, and as a cultural ideal of Americana. And she epitomizes that brand of coveted blue-blooded proper perky prettiness of the ideal look of that era (…very Jessica Stam…). While his beauty looks absolutely timeless— like he could be this gorgeous Greek Olympian from antiquity to that gorgeous guy from a Bruce Weber shoot in L'UOMO. ('m convinced it’s the Spanish blood.)
