Cybill is a beautiful model but her TV persona (in the 90s, not Moonlighting - great TV) killed the illusion for me.
Another beautiful issue - thanks. I especially luv the ads. I always wanted a bottle of Ciara - but boy was it potent & not in a good way!

A lot of these model-turn-actress from back in the day didn’t possess much of a presence as models— but Cybill was unabashedly radiant as a classic all-American blue-blood model. This Helmut story is still decadent electricity nearly half a century later: That’s the power of Helmut and a star like Cybill. Shame she didn’t become a bigger star after Taxi Driver, she really was such a presence onscreen.
(It’s clear how much Tom Ford adored and studied these imageries growing up. HIs brand, fashion and filmmaking is so rooted in classic Americana by way of American Vogue.)
