US W : the 2007 covers

I can't really pick out a cover that is the 'best' to me. All of them have some sort of flaw or another, whether it be too much text or odd placement of the text. But I speak for every cover when I say that the giant "W" gets in the way of everything. I don't care if it's the magazine title, it's still an annoyance for the overall layout!

Naomi, but overall 2007 was a tragic year for W.
i'm surprised that the Gisele cover is winning so far. i think she resembles a drag queen in that shot.

Gisele still relevant in 2007? I dont think so. Her best covers for W were 1999-2002. She's quite dried up i think. W hasnt been good in a long time as far as covers go.

I actually voted for Gwyneth.

^^Well i disagree with that,but i have to say that those really were her best W covers.I mean this years was an absoloute disaster.And i kind of hoped it well be better in real life,just to be even more horoffied when i saw it.I have seen draq queens looking better!But all that said i love Gisele otherwise,just think she couldnt pull off 80s styling and Dynasty vibe of that shoot!


For me the best cover is Naomi,Cate&the Beckhams.They all stand out and catch your eye,i would even say that Naomi's looks classic,love her pose.But my god Sienna,Gwyneth,Craig/Kidman were just beyond bad alongside Gisele's.

But i do think that W is the only US Mag that dares to put celebs in less than usual scenarious and pick someone like Ellen for their cover,which i think is great.

I vote Kirsten but nothing too special. They seem to use very similar layout in every cover.

I'll give my vote to Kirsten. I loved both her cover and editorial .. can't remember who shot it but they did a lovely job with the lighting..

Ed was really great! I love it. Cover was shoot by photographed by Craig McDean. I guess he shoot also ed.

After a lot of thinking I went with the beckhams because the cover made them look like such complete tarts which I found kind of... i don't know.. funny i guess..
