V's summer issue has a sports theme, apparently, with Missy Elliott and Laila Ali on the cover, both in Adidas. I haven't bought it yet but I've seen the issue and that Gisele editorial is really great.

Yeah, it's a pretty good issue. The second half of 2003 was rather uninspired but I feel like they're getting back on track. I think these covers are so eyecatching and beautiful.

They're doing black celebrity covers for the second issue in a row. Is this a new trend for them? Nice to see them promoting much-needed diversity in the fashion market.

Missy Elliott is one of my absolute favorite female singers (well, rapper in her case!) I may have to go get that magazine just for her being in it. Layla Ali, I have seen in Vogue before, and she seems like a pretty cool chick, herself. I will have to keep my eyes open for this one.
