I've bought the french Glamour a few weeks ago and i loved Vahina pics.She also looked great at Cesar awards.

Is her name pronounced the way its spelled? With the "h" I mean? Because if its pronounced the way I think it is, then it does sound funny.

I've always presumed it's pronounced Va-ee-na.
And I love her eyebrows, but only Vahina can pull them off. I mean they are literally straight, no arch, nothing...

Hmm... I remember her from soldados de salamina and another film...Vivante, it was good, she did a very nice performance... her acting often reminds me of catherine deneuve's in the way they both seem to surround themselves with a particular aura..you can tell what the character's going through and even thinking without making any semi eye contact with the lense or some in-your-face scene. it's very subtle but disturbing at the same time.

like Odette, I also prefer her as a brunette, she just has that face, the blonde hair doesnt suit her very well IMO, it makes her look older than she is.
Her name is indeed very funny to pronounce in spanish.

I've found an article in an old french Glamour (feb 2006) Unfortunatly I don't have a scanner and I can't take a clear shot with my digital camera. Vahina is asked about her beauty regime and her relation to her body. I've translated the article in case someone is interested

My body and me

I've got a generous, voluptuous nature and it's for the best! I like the idea of looking like a violin, with generous breasts, a small waist, hips, bum... I find terrible the idea that you can't be sucessful if you don't fit in a small size. If I were a man I would be be attracted by women happy in their skins, with a bit of flesh around their bones if possible. As an actress I don't limint myself to just studying the psyche of the characterI work a lot around the body.Each character has its own body language, its way of occupying the scene.

In my plate

I don't like sugary things,even chocolate! I don't eat meat and I don't drink alcohol. I only eat what my body wants, and not just to be full. Since I'm a mother I relate differently to food. I eat for pleasure.

Sports

The more you do sports the more you want to do it. I can't live without it! But I have no discipline. For instance I dance but only when I want to. And I walk a lot, in Paris, everywhere. I've learned to walk from the Massai, who walk long journeys as if they were dancing, without being tired.

My daily routine

I like scrubs and massages. Every once in a while I spend a whole day at La sultane de saba for a facial, a manucure and an oriental epilation. I like the sensuality of the hammam

My tips

I always finish showering with cold water. My grandmother and my grand aunt who are 98 and 102, grew up in Corsica and only had the cold water of the well to wash themselves.I'm sure that's the secret of their longevity.

Fashion

I have a passion for corsets. It's fabulous how they can change a figure. The breasts are higlighted, the waist too, the hips a redrawn, the back is straight. Christian Lacroix has very comfortable corsets. It's rare to find them.

Other people body

Laetitia Casta as a superb body, perfect proportions. In general I like meditarean figures: Sophia Loren, Monica Bellucci, that's my kind of women! Bardot in her times was perfect. Underweight bodies aren't my thing.
