September 6, 2007 -- CATTY fashionistas are griping about Ralph Lauren's Saturday fashion show in Central Park, because as one insider put it, "he's stealing all the models." Lauren asked his runway models like Caroline Trentini, Flavia Oliveira and Chanel Iman to sign contracts saying they "wouldn't be in any other shows that day," said the source. "He's making it extremely hectic for other designers showcasing their spring collections that day. Ralph embargoed his models. They are forbidden to walk in other shows. Everyone is going nuts."

^^ NNOOOO!!! I'm just saying for the few (nameless) people who spend their whole life here putting down Ralph, his clothes, his ads and Val working for him (as if it is so awful for her...99% of the models in the world would kill to replace her...Do they ever consider what a treat it must be for her to go to lunch with big shots every day while the other girls are getting 3 hours sleep and doing 5 shows a day!!??
) No, Ralph is my idol- and he has magnificent cars and his signature looks very nice in the lower right hand corner of that little piece of paper every two weeks...
He has a new book coming out in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping Val will be prominently featured in it- haven't seen a copy yet though...
I can not wait for the show Saturday night- I bet it will be the highlight of the entire Fashion Week! And all of the great models will be there!! (And that Val will open, of course!!) And the dinner afterwards...(which I have not been invited to, btw...)

I so agree with you!! She has a big exclusive with Ralph!! And doesnt need to stress to much , well as much as people in new york plus she doesnt ahve too many campaigns to shoot as shes a ralph exclusive. I too think so many models want to be her but then again I cant imagine any other model being Val because she is the most perfect model for Ralph EVER

The show is tonight starting at 8:30 at The Conservatory Garden in Central Park, 105th Street and Fifth Avenue. The mailman still hasn't been here today- I'm sure he'll have my invitation...I still have plenty of time to get ready and drive up there... Maybe I'll wear one of my Polo suits...Let's see... *looks through closet*

except NY yes, she will do a lot of shows I think.Except Ralph Lauren isn't she doing any show this season?

Here's the link for the new book. it comes out on Oct 16th, in case anyone is interested....He says it's a combination autobiography and style guide- sounds interesting! It's a bunch of money, or course, but I'm hoping there will be tons of Val pictures in it we've never seen!
